WHY AM I UNABLE TO WRITE A THESIS STATEMENT?
Well, ok, that's overstating it a bit. I can write one. It just happens that every single one I come up with would be perfect for a character analysis essay, and I'm supposed to be writing three thesis statements on theme. sigh. I fail at life. Or, at least, at English.
Um, so anyways. Drove up to the Claremont colleges at around 11. Took a tour of Pitzer. It ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Plus, like, originally my college counselor had me research Pitzer and what I thought about it (among 14 other colleges) and I gave it like... a 5/10 maybe? I thought it was all right, but it didn't look too great. But going there made me like it a lot more. It seemed pretty cool. I thought it would seem way too small, but I actually like the more enclosed atmosphere. And there isn't much to do in the town, but it's only 35 miles from L.A., which is way better than from Irvine, so I could still go to concerts and stuff. And I was looking in a brochure, and they're starting this thing where if you have above a 3.50 GPA (unweighted), you're exempt from sending in standardized test scores (SAT/ACT). My unweighted GPA as of the end of sophomore year was a 3.92, and I don't see it going down too much further, so yeah. That's kind of cool.
Then we went to take a tour of Claremont McKenna, and it turned out there were only two tours that day because of some fall recess thing they were having, and so we had missed the second tour. But at that point, it began to pour (it had stopped raining once we arrived at Pitzer and stayed like that till the end of the tour, which was nice), so we decided that it would be better to go home anyways. It was a good day, though.
I also got my official ACT results in the mail, even though I already knew I had a 33. My mom asked the percentile of my score, and I told her it was 99th percentile, and she was all "Hm. That's pretty good." Yeah. I'd like to know what she'd think great would be.
I haven't made an icon post in ages, but I think I've gotten to the point where I can make a post now. Except I have like 35 Veronica Mars icons and 10 from assorted fandoms. And I always feel weird about only posting one or two for one fandom. I like having at the very least 5, preferably more like 10. Oh well. We'll see.
