Ok, so I know I complained about that this weekend was going to suck because of the Wind Ensemble concert and having to deal with going to my German professor's house for dinner, but it ended up really awesome.
The Wind Ensemble concert was good mostly just because this means that there are no Wind Ensemble rehearsals left this semester. I mean, I do like Wind Ensemble, but it is definitely time consuming, and I'm not going to miss having class straight until 4:30 and then Wind Ensemble right after so I don't get to start homework or do anything until 6:30 at earliest. But it was also good because I like performing, and I like our music, so it was fun.
The dinner at my professor's house was surprisingly good. I thought it would be awkward, but it wasn't. Out of 8 of us in the class, only 5 went, and even though one of the people who didn't go was my closest friend in the class, the other two people I don't really like, so it was kind of good that they didn't go. And it was more comfortable with fewer people, I think. The professor has a really nice house, and he's really nice and intelligent and easy to talk to, so that was good. And I got to know the other people in my class better, which was nice. I don't know, I'm just really glad I went. I was considering not going, and I was wishing that the Wind Ensemble concert and this were the same night so I could skip it, but now I'm so glad they weren't and that I did go, because it was really a lot of fun.
Anyways, today is going to be filled with homework, which is not so fun. I actually got a lot done yesterday, I didn't procrastinate, really (like, I'd take a 5 minute break and check my flist or whatever every hour or so, but I was basically just working all afternoon), it's just that the stuff I had to do took so much longer than I thought. I should have enough time to get the major stuff I need to get done today done.
