Done with my first day of classes. I had Linear Algebra first, which I'm planning on dropping. I've heard terrible things about the professor, but he actually seems really nice and not too bad, just a little boring maybe. I bought my books after class, and holy crap, maybe I don't want to major in math, because math books are apparently ridiculous expensive. The one single book I need for Differential Equations was $176. Ridiculous! Altogether it was $470ish, and that's only three classes since I'm using the same book as last semester for German.

Anyway, then I had German, which was good. The professor is a little scarier than the professor we had last semester, but she seemed nice. I didn't fail too horribly when we were reviewing stuff that we were supposed to know from last semester, so that's good. And the class is exactly the same as our class last semester except for one person (which kind of sucks because he's a cool guy who I'm kind of friends with and he was the only other sophomore in the class). My last class of the day was Multivariate Stats. I thought I would be able to get into the class easily since the school website said there were 6 available spots, but apparently a bunch of people talked to the professor this morning so right now I'm number one on the waitlist. ugh. I even thought about talking to her this morning, but I was like "No, there's no point, I'll just wait until class." But she said that 4 people didn't show up to class today who are registered, so I figure that at least one of those people will end up not taking the class, or someone else who did show up will drop (like I'm registered and showed up for Linear Algebra, but I'm going to drop that hopefully). So I'm trying not to get too discouraged. Unfortunately when I bought my books, I chose not to buy a book for Linear Algebra because it was getting so expensive as it was, but I have an assignment for that class due Wednesday, so if I don't hear from the professor by tonight I'm going to have to buy it tomorrow morning. blah.

I'm kind of incredibly bored now. I have homework in German, but that'll take like 2 minutes (and it's not due until Wednesday anyways), and, as I said, in Linear Algebra (but I can't do that without the book). I have absolutely no books or DVDs since I didn't have room in my suitcase to take any back with me. My mom's going to send them to me, but they're obviously not here yet. I brought one book on the plane with me, but I finished that last night. I'm all caught up on TV. I just have nothing to do now, even though I feel like I should be doing something. Oh well. I really should clean up my room because it's pretty disorganized from last semester. And like half of my posters fell down during winter break and I have some more I wanted to put up.

Edit: Ha, I was right to try to not get discouraged about Multivariate Stats, since the professor just e-mailed me (class ended less than an hour ago!) saying a spot opened up and I could stop by to get my form signed. Yay! Ok, so now I don't have to worry about that anymore. And I don't have to do Linear Algebra homework now.
