Went to Woodbridge Center today with Jackie, Emma, Justin, Richard, and Ariel for Ariel's birthday. We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (which I had not seen before; I don't see very many movies, if you hadn't noticed). I liked the old version, but I also really like this one. I really like how much more creepy Willy Wonka was. Only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have the scene where Charlie and his grandfather do that thing with the bubbles and they're floating and they don't tell Willy until the end. I liked that, because then Charlie had a flaw, but in this one he was practically perfect. Otherwise I liked a lot, though.

We also went to eat at Ruby's and then we hung out at Barnes and Noble. I kind of really wanted to get this book that was advertised on the Daily Show and I remembered thinking was interesting and finding the author funny, but all I could remember about it was that it was red, there was a picture of a chair on the cover, and it had the word comfortable in the title. I looked all over for it, couldn't find it. Then I found America: A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction which is by the Daily Show/Jon Stewart and I saw and Amazon and thought it looked interesting. So I finally ended up buying that. Then, about 3 minutes after buying it, want to guess what I found? The book I had wanted before. sigh. Both books were like $20+, though, so I didn't want to buy the red one too. It's ok, I'll just buy it online or some other time.

It was a fun day, in any case. ...but I should probably get started on my homework now.

Oh, man. If you love Jon Stewart or The Daily Show (or both), that book is genius. I own it, and love it. :)
