Episode squeeing for the season finale of Veronica Mars, "Leave it to Beaver". Definite spoilers.
Whoa! I was actually right in my hunches last week! Unfortunately, I really love the character of Aaron, so this disappointed me. Absolutely fucking amazing episode, though. I love this show more than anything.
I knew it couldn't be Logan, as I'm sure everyone else did, with them implicating him in the teaser. I felt so horrible when he said "I guess we're broken up, now." Awwww. Why can't these crazy kids just work it out? I'm so hoping it's him at the end, but my gut told me it was Duncan. Unfortunately, either would work with the context. Obviously she'd say "I was hoping it would be you" for Logan, since she tried to reach him while he was on the bridge. However, she could say that with Duncan too. I mean, I think she'd be more likely to say it to Logan, given the circumstances, but I can see it working with Duncan. Plus, I would think she'd be more... carefree and upbeat? if it was Duncan rather than Logan. Why do you torture me so, Rob Thomas? I don't even necessarily want it to be Logan because I adore Logan/Veronica, but just because I want him to not have jumped off the bridge. When I saw him standing on the bridge, drinking, nearly teetering off the edge, I shivered. I can't believe that Rob Thomas would kill off Logan, but... still. It makes me nervous.
The moment between Veronica and Keith when he tells her that he's her father? Fabulous. I totally teared up. The Keith/Veronica moments in this episode were all spectacular. Keith is the best father ever. Lianne, however? Worst. Mother. Ever. I gasped when she took the $50,000 check. Like, screw you, Veronica already spent her entire college savings sending you to rehab, and not only do you skip out early and effectively waste all that money, but you also steal the new money that's for her college fund? Ugh. Hate.
I loved the moment in the beginning with Jake and Celeste telling Duncan he killed Lilly. Although, harsh much? "You want to know what really happened? You killed her. But whatever, it was just an accident. You really loved her. ...but yeah, that thing that's been haunting you, that you've been fearing for the past 4 or 5 episodes? Yeah. You totally killed her." Poor Duncan. I also loved Duncan and Veronica working together, and her telling him that they're not related.
I should probably stop here, just because every single thing begins "I loved..." Oh well. More "I loved..."s! I loved that Aaron was Lilly's big secret, and I loved that the cameras were his, not Logan's, and Logan probably had no clue about it. I love that the vent came into play again. I love how psychotic Aaron ended up being by the end. The entire last half of the episode, my heart was in my throat.
I loved the closure between Lilly and Veronica. Too sweet. Except I fear this means Lilly won't be back next season, which saddens me, because I completely adored her. I can't imagine the show without Lilly flashbacks.
So, last thing (until I think of more stuff to add, which is very likely), on the cliffhanger: hoping it's Logan, betting it's Duncan. But I think it'd be awesome if Rob Thomas threw us for a loop and it was actually Wallace (or Weevil, but I'd say it's a lot more likely to be Wallace).
Man, this show is fabulous. I think I'll spend the next hour basking in the happy glow of how wonderful this show is, and then cry for the next several hours over how long we have to wait until the next episode. I have never wanted September to come sooner.

Ps-I just made a post in my journal if you want to check it out.

I'm also going to miss Aaron. He was an awesome character. I never actually thought about him killing his wife, for some reason, but we know he obviously has it in him to take a life. That would be crazy if it was somehow discovered next season he also killed his wife.

The end? Perfect. Loved the VM/Lilly scene; it was so sad! This episode was perfect, I think, because it seemed to satisfy everything I was hoping it would; I loved that Aaron did it (cause he's a creepy mofo), I loved that VM is really Keith's daughter, and I love that everything worked out perfectly and there wasn't some huge cheesy cliffhanger/plot hole (BUT HONESTLY, WHO WAS IT?!?!?!) Something I hated was Lianne, stupid wench. I was feeling SO bad for Logan by the end of it; POOR GUY, no one ever trusts him.
Wouldn't it be INSANE if it was Deputy Smiley (Leo; i just call him that) who showed up at her door?!
Now I'm gonna DIE because I won't see VM UNTIL *gasp* SEPTEMBER! I really have absolutely no idea what next season's plot is going to be, but I hope it's good, and SOON. :[
Can't wait to see your icons!

This episode was definitely just about as perfect as it could be for me, I think. The only thing I don't like about Aaron doing it is simply that I love Aaron's character and the dynamic between him and Logan, and so I really don't want him to be gone next season. Still, it made sense, and I'd probably feel that way about whoever ended up killing her, since all the characters are so fabulous.
Heh, that would be insane if it was Leo. I would love if it was, like, anyone other than Wallace, Logan, or Duncan, just for the pure shock factor, considering most people (at least, that I've seen) believe it was one of them. And Leo would work, too, because since he's a deputy, he would definitely hear about Aaron being brought in. I could totally see it being him.
God, I know. I thought the wait between Tuesdays was bad enough, let alone that 5 week hiatus after Ruskie Business. But 4 entire months? Geez. Is it September yet?

There's always the Britney and Kevin show if you get bored Tuesday nights :\ I think I'll pass on it though. Veronica Mars ends and they put on that crap. I can't wait for Season 2 to start ♥

Yeah, I'm definitely passing on the Britney and Kevin show. Actually, I laid out a plan to watch one episode a week until some point during the summer where I'll then go into 2 episodes a week, ending the weekend before I return to school, where I'll have a marathon and watch all the episodes. Yeah. I'm slightly obsessed. Definitely can't wait for season 2.
