Oh, god, I can't wait until The Office Season 2 DVDs come out. 10 commentary tracks? 2 1/2 hours of deleted scenes? A 17 minute gag real?! I hope I don't have much to do the weekend I get them, because I know I won't want to do anything but watch those DVDs.

Registration was on Monday.
1. AP Chem
2. AP Calc BC
3. AP French
4. AP Physics
5. AP English
6. Wind Ensemble
7. Marching Band/Jazz Band
8. Symphony (I don't know if this will stay because I don't know that they really need me, but it's on my schedule anyways)

This year they didn't put teacher numbers by the classes which really sucks, because usually you could figure out who you have, and I really want to know if I have Jelnick for English or not. I know she teaches 5th for sure, but I don't know if the other English teacher (Fitzpatrick?) teaches it that period. blah. I also kind of want to know if I have Hudgins or Shulman for Calc, but I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'll have Hudgins, since it's far more likely I'll have her.

I am 1/3 of the way through applying to all the colleges I'm planning on applying to, which makes me happy. Actually probably more, since I've done the essays for UCLA and Berkeley, you just can't submit the app until like October or November or something. But everything's done for them.

What else? Oh, yesterday after finishing uniform fittings, I went to the Woodbridge center with a bunch of people which was fun. We went to Barnes and Noble and I found The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde for $2.50 so I ended up getting it because I had wanted to read it, and come on. $2.50! How could I not get it? I'm looking forward to reading it, but I still have two summer reading books to finish first. blah.

Only three more days of band camp left! Can't wait until it's over.

I didn't even know the UC application came out yet??? I'm not appling to UCLA or UCB but I am applying to UCD, UCI and UCSD.

It isn't out yet, but they use the same questions every year, so you can write the essays ahead of time. And I go to a private college counselor outside of school so she gave them all to me.

Ah, you're applying to UCI? I live like... less than 5 minutes away from it. My high school is on the same street, just down a block. A lot of kids from my school end up going there.

Oh really, I didn't know they use the same questions every year, I've seen the ones from last year. Oh that is cool, my school just started offering this College Application Seminar where we work on filling out applications, writing our essays, financial aid etc. It should be really helpful.

Yup, oh that cool. UCI is definitely in my top three. I wouldn't want to go to school so close to home! I almost think UCSD is to close, I live about 25 minutes away.

That does sound helpful. I think my school does the same thing with the UC essays, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I don't understand why so many people from my school choose to go there. It's just way too close. 25 minutes isn't too bad, but I'd probably still prefer to go farther away. The closest schools I'm applying to are Claremont McKenna and Pitzer which I think are about an hour away. I guess UCLA is about the same distance.

Ooh, a 17 minute gag reel?? COOL!! *excited*

Good luck with college applications stuff. Wow, you're getting them done really early. I'm impressed. :)

I know! I'm so excited for that! I thought the 8-minute Veronica Mars Season 2 DVD gag real was awesome, but 17 minutes? So ridiculously awesome!

Thanks! Heh, yeah, I know. There are a lot of colleges I want to apply to, though, and I wouldn't be able to get them all done with if I waited too long. It does help that I have a private college counselor to keep me on track and make sure I get everything turned in on time, too.

Good luck with your applications! According to all those AP classes, I think you are a pretty smart girl, so I'm sure you'll have all sorts of acceptances! (Is that the word?)

Thanks so much! I definitely hope I'll have lots of acceptances! :D (I think that's a word.)

Yeah, my school is like AP-crazy, so it's not abnormal to take loads of APs.
