I finally got my braces off today for good! I got them on in 4th grade, off for a year in 7th, and now I'm in 12th and I finally have them off! Very happy about this. :D


I don't have much to say and I don't know if I'll say anything spoilery, but I'll cut it just in case.

Really, really loved the show overall. Captain Jack! eee! Ah, I love Captain Jack. I also liked that the whole group has its flaws, they're not all perfect. My favorite non-Jack is Ianto, I totally love him.

I'm ok with Gwen. I liked her in the first episode but she was irritating in the second, so overall she's just ok. I was a little disappointed because I thought the focus was going to be more on Jack and instead it seems like it's more on Gwen. I'm really, really hoping there's no sort of Gwen/Jack romance. I'd be fine with him hitting on her all the time, because he's Jack and he hits on anything that moves. But I really don't want any sort of romance to form, and the kiss at the end of episode 2 was kind of pushing it for me. =/ I'm not sure why I'm so against it, because normally I jump to ship characters. Maybe because Rose/Doctor/Jack is my OT3, and I don't want anyone to interfere with that. Or maybe I'm just kind of psychotic.

Um, but yeah, overall I loved the show, and I'm really looking forward to the next episode.


Marching band comp last Saturday was eh. We performed really well I thought, and then we got 3rd out of 4 for band, 4th for colorguard, and 9th out of 11 in all the divisions for drumline. Disappointing. But I got to see Annie! And it's really fun to march a comp in Irvine rather than going off to like Anaheim or wherever because the other schools in the district also march it so they actually recognize us when we're on the field and it's just a lot more fun.

blah. I'm tired. I stayed up till 1ish last night watching Torchwood and I usually don't stay up that late on school nights, so I think I'll rest now before studying for my chem test.

Congrats on getting your braces off! You've had them on for so long, poor you :( I've only had them on for a year and a half and I'm completely dying to get them off in two months!

It is totally awesome! :D I actually pretty much ate whatever I wanted even though they said not to (I was a terrible patient after awhile, but... I just got sick of having braces so I started not to care), but it'll be nice to eat foods like pears that used to get stuck between my teeth and the wire and it would take forever to get out, and... now it won't. Plus, brushing is so much easier.

Thanks! I took the chem test today and it actually was pretty easy, so hopefully I did well on it. :)
