Ok, you know last December when I posted about how the fire alarm went off at 4 AM and it was snowing and cold and it was the weekend before finals and how awesome that was?

I found out last night something even more fun: the fire alarm going off while you're in the shower! Although it was at 10 PM rather than 4 AM, so slightly less fun of an hour, it was really awesome walking outside in Minnesota in February in FLIP-FLOPS with WET HAIR. Want to guess what was even better? (Because ok, I could handle being outside in flip-flops. I mean, it was 19 degrees. Not bad for Minnesota.) IT WAS SNOWING. Like, not just a little snowing, but THERE WAS ALREADY AN INCH OR SO OF SNOW ON THE GROUND. I WAS WEARING FLIP-FLOPS. GAH. Dorm life is so awesome.

I really hate Tuesday/Thursdays. Like, not hate, I mean... my classes aren't terrible. I actually really liked English today, and we're going to start getting to actually watching movies in Film Analysis next week, which is the whole reason I took the class and not for the culture theory stuff. But there's just so much. And this is only with class from 10:10 to 11:40 and 1:00 to 3:00. I'm planning on making it even worse. Starting next week I have preceptor-led discussion groups for my abnormal psych class where we watch a movie on Tuesday night and discuss it Thursday night. It should be fun and interesting, but it's going to be 2 more hours gone on Tuesday and Thursdays (probably from 8:00 to 10:00). And if that's not enough, I'm looking to volunteer somewhere (not entirely sure where yet because I haven't worked out a schedule yet, but right now it's looking like tutoring elementary school kids) which would also be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:15ish. ugh. I am crazy. (I am looking to try to volunteer on Fridays, when I have absolutely nothing after noon, but I don't know how likely that is.)

Ok, time for class and then studying all afternoon for my Drugs and Society test tomorrow (which is on four chapters, none of which I've read). I really want to watch the two episodes of Torchwood that aired, but I am clearly not going to be able to do that until tomorrow. Stupid schoolwork.

OH MY GOD, did you get to go back in quickly anyway? The only time I had a fire alarm go off in the middle of the night during college was freshman year, and it wasn't cold out or anything, so it was really just sort of funny. But if it had happened more than once or it was raining or cold I would have been SO MAD.

Yes, luckily it was just a drill, so we got to go back in pretty quickly. This is the fourth time this year it's gone off. Twice it was a drill (this time and at the beginning of the semester), and twice it's gone off because while someone was making popcorn, the bag caught on fire (you wouldn't think it would be possible that that could happen twice, and yet!). This was the worst time only because it was snowing and I had on flip-flops, but the second worst time was at 4 AM and it was also snowing that time and it was the weekend before finals. That was really annoying. I'm really hoping this is the last time.
