!! I got a 5 on the AP Euro exam! I'm so happy. I thought I'd at least get a 3 and I was pretty sure I could get a 4 but I didn't think I could actually get a 5. eee I'm happy. :D Also, I got a 97/99 on the econ test I took Monday and I'm setting the curve in poli sci, so I have 100% in that class. Adding all this to my report card I got last Saturday, this has been a very good week for me academically. :D

Also, today my mom decided to actually look at the air conditioner, and she managed to fix it all by herself. So, yay for air conditioning! She's been going around for the past hour or so going on about how brilliant she is for fixing it. I think I would consider her to be brilliant if she had actually looked at it right after it broke and had fixed it rather than waiting 3 days, but I suppose that's just my opinion.

Other than that, nothing much else has been going on. I watched the second half of the France and Portugal game, and yay for France! Nothing against Portugal, I just happen to be part French and have taken French since the 8th grade and have been there twice, and ok I've been to Portugal once, but I still have stronger ties to France. So, a France/Italy final. Still will root for France even though I like Italy as well (not the team, I mean, just the country in general. I know pretty much nothing about international soccer, I just base who I root for on whether I like the country in general or not). I'll probably even watch the game Sunday even though I've only been watching bits and pieces of the various games so far.

Through the first season of Sports Night. Just got to get through the second and then onto My So-Called Life. After My So-Called Life, I'm thinking of watching Entourage. I've heard it's good, and I liked Jeremy Piven in the episodes of Cupid I saw (I think I saw the first 6 or 7 last summer), and also, why did no one tell me Adrien Grenier was in Entourage? Drive Me Crazy was my favorite movie when I was like 10 or 11. And, ok, not so much my favorite movie now, but my inner 10 or 11 year old is still all squee-y over him. So, yeah, that'll probably be next.

Today's a good day. :D

Congrats on the AP score! A 5 is really excellent, good job.

Thank you! I'm really excited about it. :D

Ah, lucky much. I got a 4 on the Physics AP test, boo.

I've given up on the World Cup. I don't know who to support other than the winner of each match anyway.

Aw, sorry. Well, a 4 is still really excellent. I got a 4 on the AP US exam last year, and I was really happy with that (of course I literally did no studying for it, either, so I was just happy to have passed). Besides, isn't AP Physics supposed to be the hardest of all APs? Or at least one of them.

Yeah, I never really supported anyone like overall, I always just do match to match. But there's only the final France vs. Italy game left now.

Yeah. It's not so much that I got a 4, it's more that I really thought I did well on it. I mean, I literally aced the free response, so I must've failed the multiple choice or something. Ah, whatever.

I like France. They have a prettier language. But I mean, Italian food, yum. Which team has the prettier men?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/ 2006-07-06 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I can understand being disappointed in that. I was happy about my 4 because I expected like a 2 or 3 if I was lucky.

I actually like the Italian language a lot (I'm considering taking it in college). And, of course, the food. I actually don't know which team has the prettier men, which you would think should be the most important factor. I've heard people say the Italians are really greasy, though, which isn't good.

[identity profile] violetmist2003.livejournal.com 2006-07-07 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well obviously prettiness of men is the determining factor. Look how much publicity Ronaldo's gotten for his team (which has nothing to do with his skill, I'm sure). I shall have to look up the team pictures.

Greasy is bad. Greasy pizza is bad.

Congrats on the grades! That's fantastic. lol I think everyone here sort of lost interest in the World Cup after Australia got kicked out.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/ 2006-07-06 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! :D

People here in the U.S. weren't incredibly interested in it. I don't think soccer is very big here. At my school there definitely was interest in it and I'd watch games during lunch or classes we weren't doing anything, and a lot of my friends are Korean and were really into it when Korea was still in the picture. But I think the excitement wore off after awhile.

Soccer isn't very big here either except that this is the first time in like 30 years that Australia was even in the World Cup. Hence the sudden addiction to soccer here. *g* hmm I know what you mean about the excitment wearing off. All the important games here were like at 2:00 AM in the morning, I'm not sure how people stayed up.
