More reasons to hate econ:

1. Whenever it's freezing cold in the room, he's all "Oh, it's to keep you awake!" Except I have so much of an easier time getting to sleep when it's cold than when it's hot, so it's always a million times harder to stay awake. And then I keep nearly falling asleep and then jerking awake again and it's just blah.

2. He made this stupid fucking "joke" when we were commenting on how everyone was falling asleep anyways: "They did this study about kids who fell asleep in class, and all the kids asleep? Were gay." And we were all "...wtf?" and he was all "HAHA just kidding" but it was ridiculous, like a;lkfjd I don't know. Like there was something WRONG with being gay and being accused of being gay would keep us awake, or something. I mean it might some people, I guess. But it was just ridiculous and a stupid thing to say and it was irritating as hell.

I will be so happy a week from now to be done with that fucking class. Although I guess I am happy that I didn't have to take it for a whole semester. I would probably have to shoot myself, in that case.

I got this thing in the mail with an id number thing to see my senior portraits online. What a fucking waste of money. I mean you have to pay like $40 just to sit there, and you have to pay more to even buy any, and you'd think they'd actually be good at that price, but they're not. It's not even me being critical of how I look when everyone else thinks I look fine, because my mom looked at the pictures and she also said they looked terrible, especially for a professional photographer, and she usually is all "Oh, come on, you like fine". I mean, my freaking school ID picture from last year looks better than this. Pictures I take of myself with my digital camera look better than these pictures. What a waste of money.

Not sure if I can finish my QAF rewatch by tomorrow. I'm on 407 now and can only watch a few more episodes tonight and I thought I'd be further but I took a break to watch a movie on LOGO earlier (Hard Pill, which I really loved except for the ending) and my mom told me tomorrow night we're going out to celebrate my aunt's birthday or something so I won't have as much time as I thought. I'm going to have a bunch to say when I'm done, but let me just say now how much I love Ted/Blake. I mean, I liked them before (not so much when Blake left Ted in a coma and all, but I did kind of like him at the end of season 1, and then I really liked him in early season 4), but now going through the episodes and knowing that Blake turns out decently and Ted ends up with him, I like him even more in episodes I just kind of liked him in before, and I absolutely adore him in episodes I really liked him in. So yeah. So glad they ended up together.

All right, back to watching QAF.

!! I got a 5 on the AP Euro exam! I'm so happy. I thought I'd at least get a 3 and I was pretty sure I could get a 4 but I didn't think I could actually get a 5. eee I'm happy. :D Also, I got a 97/99 on the econ test I took Monday and I'm setting the curve in poli sci, so I have 100% in that class. Adding all this to my report card I got last Saturday, this has been a very good week for me academically. :D

Also, today my mom decided to actually look at the air conditioner, and she managed to fix it all by herself. So, yay for air conditioning! She's been going around for the past hour or so going on about how brilliant she is for fixing it. I think I would consider her to be brilliant if she had actually looked at it right after it broke and had fixed it rather than waiting 3 days, but I suppose that's just my opinion.

Other than that, nothing much else has been going on. I watched the second half of the France and Portugal game, and yay for France! Nothing against Portugal, I just happen to be part French and have taken French since the 8th grade and have been there twice, and ok I've been to Portugal once, but I still have stronger ties to France. So, a France/Italy final. Still will root for France even though I like Italy as well (not the team, I mean, just the country in general. I know pretty much nothing about international soccer, I just base who I root for on whether I like the country in general or not). I'll probably even watch the game Sunday even though I've only been watching bits and pieces of the various games so far.

Through the first season of Sports Night. Just got to get through the second and then onto My So-Called Life. After My So-Called Life, I'm thinking of watching Entourage. I've heard it's good, and I liked Jeremy Piven in the episodes of Cupid I saw (I think I saw the first 6 or 7 last summer), and also, why did no one tell me Adrien Grenier was in Entourage? Drive Me Crazy was my favorite movie when I was like 10 or 11. And, ok, not so much my favorite movie now, but my inner 10 or 11 year old is still all squee-y over him. So, yeah, that'll probably be next.

Today's a good day. :D

So, I finally finished Battlestar Galactica last night )

Anyways, not sure what I'm going to check out next. I think My So-Called Life, like I said in the last post, but it's going to take a long time for me to download, so I'm thinking of starting something else in the meantime. Anyone want to rec me any shows you think I should watch? (You can check my userinfo for ones I've already seen, because I think I have seen a fair amount.)

First week of summer school is done, thankfully. Just 5 left. sigh.

So season 1 of Battlestar Galactica didn't take as long it did the first time I tried to download it, so I ended up getting through the entire season yesterday afternoon. Somewhere along the way I started really, really liking it, but I'm not exactly sure where. I'm still not like... fanatic over it, but at the same time I couldn't stop thinking about it all morning through summer school, so, you know. It's not like I am just kind of liking it, either. Anyways, I have season 2 as well now, so I'm planning on getting through episode 10-ish today and finishing the rest Thursday afternoon.

Ugh, but I have a test in poli sci tomorrow. I mean, I like poli sci and it's not difficult, I just need to study for like... 30 min or so, but still. It should be illegal to give tests during summer. At least it's not econ, though. I'd get nothing done if it were econ.

Oh, and you know how I said that I didn't think I'd be hating my econ teacher as much as I hate other teachers I've really hated in the past? Well, I may have spoken too soon. I mean, I don't yet, but... well first off, yesterday he was like "Ok we'll do this and this and then take a pop quiz on chapter 1" and we're all "...what?" and he's like "Ha! You guys didn't read the first chapter! You're all screwed!" (Well, essentially he was gloating about us not having done the reading) and we're all "...but you never told us to read!" and he's all "...oh? Um. Ok. Fine. I guess it was just second period I told that". So at least he didn't end up making us take the quiz, but... I still hate it when teachers have no idea what they said in class and stuff. I don't know. It just really bothers me.

That would be fine, but then today he was like "Ok, chapter 2 pop quiz at 7:15, anyone who's late gets a 0 on the quiz" and I think most people figured like... if they came in after the quiz started, maybe? But these people were like 40 seconds late, and we weren't even doing anything, they weren't disrupting the class or anything, and he's like "You get 0's!" Then he was like "I'm in a good mood, so you can have half-credit on the quizzes" but still, wtf? That's ridiculous. Take off points from their participation grade like you said you would or don't let them have a break, or whatever, but giving them a 0 on a quiz we're not even starting for another 15 minutes? Ridiculous.

Anyways, I guess I should study some before poli sci before starting season 2 of Battlestar Galactica. I'm thinking after finishing season 2 of BSG I'm going to start watching My So-Called Life, since I started that last summer and really enjoyed it, but finding downloads was difficult and then I just kind of forgot about it after about episode 9 or 10. But I'd really like to watch the rest of the season, so yeah. That'll probably be next. Ah, even with summer school, summer break is so nice.

So, thankfully I was able to finally watch the Battlestar Galactica mini-series, and then also the first two episodes. I think I like it. The more I watch, the more invested in the characters I get, and the more I end up liking the show. I'm not obsessed over it yet, but I wasn't obsessed over Veronica Mars after like 2 or 3 episodes either, and look how obsessed with that show I am. So yeah, we'll see, I guess. I did that Friday and spent the rest of the weekend downloading season 1 and it finally finished last night at like 11 PM so I'll start watching season 1 today.

This morning was summer school. blah. Economics was all right, just very boring. I wouldn't be anymore interested in it during the school year, though, so it's fine. And the teacher seems nice enough, even if he's boring, so I don't think I'll start hating him like I hate Mme. de Berry or Mr. Tran. Political Science was a lot better. The first half was boring, but when Mr. Sorey started lecturing it was amusing because it just felt like I was right back in his AP US class sophomore year. I have a feeling I'll like that class way more than Econ.

Anyways, now for lunch, and then watching the rest of season 1 of BSG.

Edit: gah. Spoke too soon. Apparently I didn't choose well downloading, and I ended up with a season worth of episodes that stop playing after the first 5-10 seconds. sigh. So now I get to spend three more days finding a new copy of the season and downloading that instead. And I was really looking forward to watching the rest of season 1 today and tomorrow. :( sigh.

Beach party last night was just kind of... eh. It didn't suck, but it also wasn't as much fun as I would've liked. There were definitely some parts that were a lot of fun, but at the end it was just kind of dragging on. But of course, I have many pictures! )

Ah, summer break. How nice. Except for me it's basically just a three-day weekend, because starting Monday I have summer school for six weeks. sigh. At least summer school only goes till 12 (although it starts at like 7:15. bleh).

omg I think I love The Office.

I was planning on watching it this summer because I heard good things about it, but then yesterday I decided I should probably start downloading it now so I don't have to spend my first couple of weeks of summer downloading. But then it ended up only taking like 3-4 hours for the first season (well it is only like 6 episodes) and I was bored and had nothing to do and so I watched it. A couple of thoughts... )

Uh, anyways. Moving on from that. uh today in Euro someone presented their historical film project and it was on Elizabeth, and hey, Christopher Eccleston's in it! And he has facial hair! And he's so serious and not at all goofy! No grinning! It's pretty crazy.

I got my schedule for summer school today, and my poli sci teacher is Mr. Sorey! I had him sophomore year for AP US. I hated the people in my class, but I really liked him, so it should be good having him. The teacher for econ is someone I've never heard of, but summer school starts two weeks from yesterday, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.
