brokenrecordSo one of my birds has laid three eggs in the past week. They're probably not fertilized, but it's still kind of crazy. It makes me really wish I was home.
I've been sucking at updating. I think it's partly because I don't feel like this is home, I feel like I'm still on vacation (except with homework. What a crappy vacation) so I'm not as in the habit of updating.
Not a lot has been going on. I went on an overnight camping field trip with my geology class and two other classes Thursday and Friday. It was pretty fun, but I missed out on a lot of stuff at school (a lecture from some astrophysicists who discovered dark matter or void galaxies or something to do with that stuff, a lecture about Osama Bin Laden for this series of Middle East peace summits they're doing, and a lecture from this dancer about sexuality and gender and his dancing which I could've also gotten extra credit in my Technologies of Gender class to go to and write a synopsis of), not to mention the premieres of My Name Is Earl, Ugly Betty, and The Office (I did watch The Office premiere the second we got back, though, and oh man I loved it. I'm so excited for this season).
Parents' weekend is this Friday through Sunday, although my parents are coming on Thursday morning so we can do some shopping that afternoon since I still don't have snow boots or a winter coat, and I could really do with some waterproof shoes, since it rains a lot, and my shoes are all sandals or made of canvas.
Anyways, I should get some work done, since I did nothing yesterday, and I have loads of work for this week (including my first astronomy test on Friday! sigh).
