Yeah, I did hear that a couple months ago, and that the type he has is usually fully treatable and that he should be able to recover fully. Even though it's not serious, it's still pretty scary, though.
I read in the new issue of Alternative Press yesterday that they were either recording or writing for the new CD this summer, and the new CD was scheduled to come out late this year (though that was just kind of a rough estimate, it could easily be pushed back) which is why that I mentioned I can't wait for it. I know that it'll probably be awhile before it comes out, I'm just looking forward to it. :)
