Sep. 4th, 2007 11:54 pmToday was pretty awesome. It was the first day I kind of started to feel normal here. (I mean, it's not that things have been awful. It's just been... eh.) I started going with a group of people to most meals. At Macalester, it's a requirement for each freshman to take a first year class, which consists of 16 people and it's sort of to help you transition to college and such. The professor (who is awesome) is your adviser. Some are residential, which means the people in the class live on your floor right near you, which is what mine is. So I've been going with about half the people in the class.
Anyways, today. Well in the morning I just had breakfast with my roommate, and then we and about half the group of the first year class (which is also the orientation group) went to do this... nature thing? I can't describe it. But we went to this place and collected seeds for about two hours. Then all of us who had gone went to lunch. My roommate and some of the people made a Target run because they were running vans back and forth for two hours, and then when they came back, she and two other girls hung out in our room and just kind of talked. Then we had dinner with some more people and hung out in this grassy area on blankets for a few hours. We had the closing of Orientation at 8:30 and then at 9:30 we watched Rocky Horror Picture Show (my first time) outside in front of the Campus Center, which was really awesome.
Just, yeah. Nothing really major happened, but it just felt... normal. So yeah. Good day.
Anyways, classes start tomorrow, so I should sleep. I'm really excited for all my classes. I hope I enjoy them.
