I did end up watching The Hustler last night, and omg I loved it. (Also, the fact that Paul Newman did nearly all of the pool shots himself is kind of mind-boggling.) When I mentioned last night that if I finished my stuff by 9 PM, I had so much stuff left that I actually didn't think I'd finish it in time. But I somehow managed to finish by 8:59 PM, so I decided to watch it, and I'm so glad I did. I think I really needed it to stop being so stressed out for a few hours and get my mind off everything. I found out that there's a sequel to it, and I'm so tempted to watch it, but I'm not sure if I should. Looking at it, I feel like it's either going to be terrible or awesome. I mean, it's a sequel for one thing, and it was made 25 years after the original, so it doesn't seem like it was planned out when they made the first one. Also, it has Tom Cruise, and while I don't hate him, I don't really love him either. He can be really great (he was absolutely brilliant in Tropic Thunder and totally the best thing about that movie, which mostly underwhelmed me), but most of the time I'm pretty eh about him. But then, on the other hand, you have Paul Newman, AND he won his first academy award for that movie. And it's directed by Scorsese! Which I find really random but totally awesome. So I'm conflicted. But I'm pretty sure I'll end up watching it.

Anyway, I thought I was going to be regretting this today and later this week what with my two tests and so much stuff going on, but I got an e-mail this morning from my stats professor saying that class is canceled today because she's sick, the lab we had due today is due Friday (although that doesn't really matter since I already finished it. But at least I'll have more time to look over it in case I realize I did something wrong), and the test we were supposed to have Friday has been pushed to Monday! I'm pretty much thrilled about that. Although it'll make this weekend busier than I thought it was going to be. But whatever, I'll deal with it. This way I can still start studying after my RIP test Thursday, but I'll have way more time to prepare. And the test is open-book/open-notes anyways, so I'm not really sure how much I have to prepare for it. I'm just overly stressed out about it because it's the first test in the class and the stuff we do in class doesn't seem it would translate very well to a test.
