Heh, I'm the same way. For example, in the past few months I've been getting into My So-Called Life, which I believe aired in like 1994. So I'm definitely getting into that really late.
That's pretty true for me too, actually. Minus the college part. Actually, the sad part is that I have friends and they all live pretty close to me and all but one of them go to the same school as me, but I pretty much have no life other than LJ. For me, I say I'm shy but it's not really shyness, because if someone else starts talking to me first, I can totally talk with them just fine. I think I'm more insecure, which means I can never make the first move and don't know how to get to know people very well.
