Yeah, even if it wasn't the absolute perfect ending I wanted (with Justin and Brian living happily ever after), it was a perfect ending for the show. And I agree, it doesn't make any sense for Justin to leave for New York and never plan to see Brian again. I'm sure he intends to return.
