Truth is I was surprised to see so many Pacey/Joey fans at the beginning, as the show was all Dawson/Joey-centric during the first years. Funny thing is that I hated Dawson right from the pilot and it was interesting to see that over the years, he wasn't as important anymore as before and in the end the show was more about Joey than anybody else.
Me too, we had to wait long enough for them to get together. Not me though as I've started watching the show two months ago and could watch season after season. *lol*
