Went to the animal shelter this morning for the training stuff. It turned out I was actually doing the training with two other kids at the same time. The buddy person took out a cat and we played with it for awhile. I want a cat so badly, guh. I would've been done at like 12:20 (40 minutes sooner than I thought), but then the two kids were all "Dude, can we do a dog training thing too?" and so our buddy found this other buddy teacing a volunteer how to deal with the dogs and so we all did that with her. So, now I can work with both dogs and cats! Awesome.

After the animal shelter, I went to Tiffany's and drove the two of us to Chain Reaction, a club in Anaheim, where they were selling a bunch of CDs, posters, shirts, and stuff like that. It was pretty cool. Everything was so cheap! Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of merch from bands I like, but it was still cool. I got a free Hidden in Plain View poster, free Augustana, Oasis, and The Dead 60s stickers, a $5 Plain White T's CD, and a $3 So They Say CD. I think they should have something like that again soon, it was fun.

I was kind of freaked out thinking about driving to Anaheim because the farthest I've ever driven alone is like the Spectrum, and that's only like 5 miles away and that was the first freeway I ever drove on so I'm just... a lot more comfortable driving there. But to go to Anaheim, I had to drive on the 405, then the 55, and then the 5. But it ended up being a lot less freaky than I thought, and I didn't kill/hurt me, Tiffany, or any other drivers! So, I'd consider it a success. :) I want my own car. sigh.

Well, I don't know where else to put this and this seems like a good enough place. I've been lurking every since I noticed links to your journal in the Buffy icon community. Your icons are, oh gosh, unbelievably breathtaking. Well, not literally. Seriously though, you've got mad skills. Really, it was your Veronica Mars icons that pushed me over the fence into VM fandom. I can't thank you enough. :)

Today I took a gander at your userinfo and saw how many tastes we have in common.
(1) Misha Barton - though I really just see her as misintentioned comic relief
(2) Charmed past season 3 - I like Rose McGowan almost as much as Doherty, but little miss Pheobe took over that show - and not in a good way
(3) Marti Noxon - who needs her when you've got Jane Espenson and Joss Whedon?

Ehh, sorry for being a bothersome sneak. I was bored and clicking around.

I want a cat too. I'm allergic though :\

Voluteering/working at an animal shelter sounds awesome. Maybe I'll try it.

Congrats on not killing yourself. I'm learning to drive and just thinking about driving on a freeway freaks me out.

Aw, thank you. :) And yay, I'm glad they got you into the VM fandom. It's such an awesome show.

Yeah, that's my major problem with Charmed past season 3 as well. I like Rose McGowan well enough, but I hate how Phoebe all of a sudden became the focus of the show. Plus, I found Phoebe pretty likable in the earlier seasons, but once she became the center of attention, she became absolutely insufferable.

And yeah, totally agreed about Marti Noxon.

Heh, that's totally ok. :D

Aw, that sucks. When I was a kid, I had like... a dust mite allergy, or something, and my sinuses were all screwed up (they still are, but not as bad) so my parents said no to a cat. Now my parents would actually let me get a cat, except for the fact that I have four birds. Oh well.

Yeah, it seems pretty cool to me. I'm looking forward to working there more.

Heh, thank you. I totally know what you mean. When I first started driving, I was totally freaked out at the thought of going on the freeway. The first freeway I went on was really like... easy, though. Easy to merge onto, and there wasn't a lot of traffic, so it was good. I'm still freaked out about going on other freeways, though, which is why I'm proud that I was able to do it today. I feel a lot better about it now.
