brokenrecordguh. I have to write an essay tomorrow in Euro. I mean, at least for this we got 5 possible free response prompts, unlike for the English essay last week, but still. I didn't prepare very well for them and I'm pretty much screwed. Well, there are like 2 that I'm ok at, but bah. I don't know. It's 100 points, too. But then, it seems like everything in Euro is many, many points. We have an 80 question multiple choice test in Euro on Friday, too, and I'd be surprised if that wasn't up around 80-100 points. It's annoying, because it makes things seem more important than they actually are.
Today Mr. Ives wore this like... rain coat/parka type thing and it was unbuttoned to about the middle of his chest, and this would be fine and all (even though the jacket was pretty ugly and had random paint streaks on it), except he wasn't wearing a shirt under it. ewwww. I really, really did not need to see Mr. Ives chest hair.
Also, with this whole essay test thing, he didn't even mention it till Monday (although he did have it on the schedule. But when a teacher doesn't mention anything at all, you figure that it's not going to happen!) and so, well, ok. Like at the beginning of the year he had us print out a study guide for chapters 1-4, and at the end of it was possible essay prompts for the essay test. A week after that, he was all "Oh, I updated the study guide, but it was just like typos and stuff, so don't worry about printing it out again!"
Then, Monday, when he finally mentioned the essay test, he started going through questions on the list that wouldn't be on there and stuff to add and so on, and it was clear that the questions I had on my sheet were completely different from the ones he was talking about it. And so half of us were all like "...uh... wtf?" and then I guess it turned out that when he updated the studyguides, he changed the questions. Like, yeah, thanks Mr. Ives, it might've been helpful to know that beforehand, yes?
Also, we have to go to this site called blackboard where he posts all the handouts and info and stuff and print it out ourselves because he's a lazy bum (EVEN THOUGH FOR HIM TO PRINT OUT COPIES IT'S FREE, AND FOR US WE HAVE TO WASTE PAGES AND INK. UGH.), and usually was just like... use it as a guest, but now he's making us use our log-ins because he's going to close it out to anyone outside of Euro. EXCEPT HOW HE TOLD US TO LOG-IN, WHAT OUR PASSWORD AND USERNAME SHOULD BE, TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY DOESN'T WORK AT ALL, NO MATTER HOW MANY DIFFERENT WAYS I TRY IT. And did I mention THERE'S NO FUCKING POINT FOR HIM TO CLOSE IT OUT, ANYWAYS?! I mean, what, is he afraid that someone who's not in AP Euro might (gasp!) go onto blackboard and PRINT OUT HIS LECTURE NOTES?! The horror!
And another thing, since he's a lazy bum, he doesn't print out grades, so instead he posts them on another blackboard account thing which he does leave open. EXCEPT THE THINGS HE POSTS THEM IN USE SOME CRAZY ADVANCED FORM OF JAVA SCRIPT AND I CAN'T SEE WHAT THEY SAY AND I'VE UPGRADED TO THE HIGHEST VERSION AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. But no, posting them in, say, a Word document, would be far too simple and not nearly frustrating enough. GUH.
Yeah, so. Have I mentioned I'm not enjoying AP Euro very much?
sigh. Anyways. Nothing much in school today, except we had the first sub of the year and it was in chemistry, of all classes (I want a sub in Euro. Or French. Permanently), and her face looked like it had been Botox-ed a lot and she looked kind of dead. And she spent the entire class period ordering things from magazines on the phone. It was pretty bizarre.
Bah. I'm really tired of Rory. I just... she wasn't even particularly bad in this episode, just... her very presence bugs me.
Sookie also annoyed me with her little ploy. She knew what was going on between Lorelai and Rory, and she had to have known that there was no chance that would work. I mean, she knows them! She knows how stubborn they both are and how unlikely it is that they'll be able to work things through unless it's their own decision.
The Rory/Lane scene was weird at first because of its awkwardness (though I do find that realistic), but I liked it by the end. And Rory was actually being a good friend, asking Lane about Zach and the tour! Still, they didn't strike me as like... best friends during the scene. Like, I mean, I know they really aren't anymore, but it didn't seem to me like there was any reason for them to be friends. It seemed so weird at the start before remembering that, duh, they were best friends at the start of the show and it shouldn't be odd for them to be having a conversation. I don't know. I don't think I make sense very often.
What was up with Logan? He seemed all... completely different than the prior weeks. Was it just that whole finishing college this year and joining his father and stuff, or whatever? I wasn't paying much attention.
No Paris, and very little Michel. I am sad. :(
Eh, I don't know. I had higher hopes for this season, and I can't even pinpoint specific things that I don't like about it, I'm just not... invested in it anymore.
eep. The beginning freaked me out not because I'm afraid of planes because of crashing or whatever, but because I get horribly airsick and just... the start of the episode really reminded me of all the stuff being on a plane entails. [shudder]
I love the relationship between Sam and Dean. It's just too awesome for words.
I liked that they kind of had someone helping them this time. Like, someone got them to help him rather than them stumbling upon it, and they also got like... more information and stuff. It felt different, but in a good way.
I don't know. I really enjoyed this show. It's not like... Veronica Mars level awesome, but it keeps me entertained, the acting's good, the storylines aren't completely predictable, and... I don't know. I like it.
