Interesting theory. It could definitely work within what aired. However, there's going to be a season 2, so unless they totally redid the show to focus on another character or had Veronica go through the entire season knowing she killed her best friend with no repercussions, then I don't think it could work. It would definitely be a shock if that was what happened. I wouldn't bet on it, though.
