Dude. DUDE. ASLDKJL;KJ
This episode=so fucking awesome. I don't understand how this show is so consistently good. I mean, the first few episodes I thought were a few shaky (well, Cheatty, Cheatty, Bang Bang [the third] was really good), but it's been consistently amazing since Blast From the Past.
I don't know where to begin.
Ok, how about the end/alternate end. DUDE. DUDE. lkajdsf I was planning on voting before I saw it, but now I don't know what to do. I kind of want Meg dead, though, so I think if I do end up voting, I'll vote for that. But then Meg awake could stir up all these other things! But Meg dead is better, actually. Because in my episode commentary I said "So Meg's not dead? lksjdf I don't hate her, but I feel like it's such a copout to keep her alive. I mean, there's no point in keeping her in a coma if she's just going to die, so obviously she's going to pull out of it, and it's just so frustrating. And now the end of the first episode just loses a lot of its impact for me because like... my very first thought when it went off the cliff was all "OMG MEG IS DEAD!!!" But now she's not, now it's just a bunch of random people that we had never seen before on the bus dead, and it just doesn't have the same impact." And now I mean... if she actually dies... ah so good. So much better. So yeah. I think I prefer the alternate ending. Plus, it's so much more twisted.
MEG IS PREGNANT WITH DUNCAN SPAWN! (Well, I'm not spoiled, but basing it on the preview. And I can't believe that it'd be anyone else, though I suppose it's a possibility. But for now, I'm believing it's Duncan.) I know people speculated on that awhile ago, and I'm glad it's true. END OF VERONICA/DUNCAN FINALLY HAPPENING MAYBE HOPEFULLY. The V/D scene where she confronts him next week looks like it's going to be really good.
What happened to Duncan ignoring Veronica, though? He totally was blowing her off all last week, no interaction at all, and all of a sudden they're talking again. Makes no sense.
The main mystery this week was pretty good. I kind of don't like that Veronica found out that Lianne was good afterall, but maybe that's because I just really hate Lianne and don't want there to be anything good about her, I guess. Better for Veronica, though. I'm kind of annoyed that it was Mary who was Trina's mother, though. I prefered it when it was Celeste, and I was hoping in the alternate ending it would turn out to be her. I mean, I'm not even that annoyed, I just wanted it to go how I... wanted it to go. Trina hugging her the second time was very sweet, though. I actually really liked Trina this episode. Like, I haven't disliked her in the past, but I liked her a lot more today. Also, I like that most of the mysteries this season have been more connected to Veronica rather than random people coming up to her and asking for her help.
Moving onto the more shallow stuff:
BEAVER/MAC!!! I HEART! I've kind of really loved them since I read

Van Clemmons? Is a total badass. I didn't like him much first season, but he's totally been awesome this season. And now he's principal! hee! So awesome. (...clearly awesome is the only adjective in my vocabulary. I'm too much of a southern CA girl.)
Everytime the credits come up for each episode, I go "...WTF I TOTALLY FORGOT JACKIE WAS A CHARACTER." Where is she? Is she off stalking Wallace? Not that I'm really complaining, I suppose. She's probably my least favorite character on the show. Why the hell are they wasting a credit spot on her, though, if she's only been in like three episodes out of the first nine? Makes no sense to me.
Weevil getting taped to the flagpole was totally awesome. The fight between the two of them was pretty good, too, and I'm very interested in seeing where this goes now that Weevil believes Logan didn't kill Felix.
TRINA AND KENDALL! WILLOW AND CORDELIA! It amused me. I think that was probably Alyson Hannigan's best scene of the night, too. She did bitchy very well.
Don't know what else to say. I love this show so very much.
I know I said I might watch Lost tonight instead of waiting, but I ended up being too excited about this episode and less excited about Lost. Probably won't watch it till Friday since I have 2 quizzes to study for tomorrow afternoon and one of them is Euro and I need all the points I can get in that class. (But then again, knowing me, I'll probably watch Lost before doing any work at all. sigh.)
I've started Pride and Prejudice and am about 80 pages in. Supposed to be annotating for themes and motifs, but right now I just want to get familiar with the story and characters and plot and then go back. I'm kind of thinking about reading the entire book instead of the first 100 pages (which is what's due next Tuesday) since I really like the story and want to know what happens. I think it'll depends on when I get Sense and Sensibility and the Sims 2 expansion. If I don't get them by Saturday then I'll probably just finish P&P since I won't have anything else to preoccupy myself with.
I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st. It feels like fall has gone by so quickly, but then thinking back, band camp and How the Irish Saved Civilization feel like they were ages ago. It's weird how that works.
wheeee I'm so giddy now. I love how watching Veronica Mars can make me feel. :D

I kind of skimmed over that line and mistakingly read it as "Sense and Sensibility Sims 2 expansion," and went, "Well, that's a niche audience if I ever heard one." Heh.

Date: 2005-12-01 11:47 pm (UTC)I know that it's not as well done just because Veronica will be blamed for it at first and it doesn't make total sense, but I really do want her dead. Not even because I dislike her, because I don't, but... I just like where that takes the story more. I'd be satisfied with the other ending too, though.

Date: 2005-12-01 11:48 pm (UTC)Austen's writing style is a little difficult for me, but it hasn't bothered me too much. So far I do like the story a lot, so that's been keeping me reading.
