brokenrecordSo last night I had my first preceptor-led group meeting thing to watch A Beautiful Mind. Only 3 of us (plus the preceptor) showed up since we had a test today and I guess everyone was studying and had either already seen it or figured out another way to watch it. The TV in the room the preceptor reserved wasn't working because someone had stolen some of the cables or something, so we went to one of the other people in the group's dorm room since he has a large TV. I want to live in his dorm SO much. He has this living area and another area for sleeping and HIS OWN BATHROOM. I am so jealous. I seriously have the room furthest from the girl's bathroom on my floor, and it gets really annoying. I want that kind of dorm room. Anyways, the movie was good, and the people in the group are really nice. This one girl, though, sounds exactly like this girl that was in one of my classes last semester that I'm kind of friends with, and whenever she would talk I'd get really confused if I wasn't looking at her. She also has, like, the exactly same personality. It's weird. But anyways, the group should be fun (besides the fact that it takes up 3 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I already have a ridiculous amount of stuff to do on Tuesdays/Thursdays as it is).
Supposedly Company (with Raul Esparza!) is airing tonight on PBS for most people, but in my area, it's not airing until Saturday night. I have no idea why. It's not fair that most of the country gets it tonight and I have to wait until Saturday night. bah. Oh well. I should be happy that I get to see it at all.
I've kind of been hating my Film Analysis class so far (especially Tuesday's class. That was just awful), but tomorrow we're actually getting to the film analysis part rather than all the theory crap, which is nice. We're seeing North by Northwest. I've never seen anything by Hitchcock (except the first couple minutes of one of the episodes of one of his TV shows, but I don't know that that counts), so it should be fun.
I desperately want my copy of Paintshop Pro to arrive, but it's not here yet. I really hope it arrives by Friday. I hate the mail service at my dorms because if you get a package bigger than the mail slots (which are super tiny and only fit envelope-sized things), then it takes an extra day to get it because they have to fill out a form and put it in your box (which apparently takes an entire day to do).
