Had a tenor sax lesson this morning. Blah. Not fun.

Painting's started. Last week he did the textures on the wall, this week he's actually painting stuff. My mom's office is done, and it looks really nice. It's this light greenish color, and it sounded bad to me when she told me about it, but I think it looks really good. I'll take pictures if I end up getting my digital camera.

I had this plan to talk to my mom about the digital camera at lunch today. I figured we'd go to Golden Spoons for lunch since it's right on the way back from my tenor lesson. It'd be good because neither of us would have anything to read so we'd have to just talk to each other, and I could bring up that. Unfortunately, it failed, as my mom told me we were going to pick up food from In-n-Out. sigh. Oh well. There aren't any other really oppurtune moments to ask, so I think I'll just wait till Tuesday. I mean, we're having dinner together first, so I figure I can bring it up then. Plus, if I bring it up while we're actually at the Spectrum, it'll seem less out of the blue, I think. I kind of wanted to ask beforehand just in case my mom would be all "Well, we still have the old one, see if it works" because if it actually did work, then... I could just use it and not cost my parents any money and not feel guilty for getting another. But I looked for it last year sometime where I had last seen it, at the top of the closet in the family room, and it wasn't there. I don't know if it was put in the attic or given away or what. But whatever, I'll just ask tomorrow, I suppose.

Oh, and I told my mom about ordering the Harry Potter book. She was just like "Oh, that's cool," and when I explained I was letting her know so she wouldn't think I stole her credit cards, she said "Oh, I would never assume that. I would be curious, but I'd ask you about it first." But yeah, anyways. It should come on Saturday, according to Barnes and Noble's website. I keep thinking July 16 is Friday, not Saturday, for some reason. I need to get it straight in my head. blah.

I finished the first three Harry Potter books yesterday. Man, I really love the third. I don't know what about it it is that I love (perhaps because I absolutely love Sirius and Lupin, and I love Harry finally having some sort of parental figure who really cares about him), but everytime I read it... blah. It's totally my favorite out of all the ones I've read. Started #4 this morning, but I probably won't finish it for a day or two. I have the SAT diagnostic test tonight from 4-8:30, and SAT class from Tuesday-Thursday, plus going out tomorrow after SAT class. I should be able to finish both 4 and 5 by Saturday, though. I'd be very surprised if I didn't manage to.

Because of the painting starting, my mom took the birds to the vet yesterday to board them. Can't come back till the paint fumes go away, which won't be till Friday at the earliest. Awwww. I miss my birds.

All right, that's all. I think I should review some stuff for the SAT diagnostic test and then I'll probably read some more Harry Potter.

oh harry potter. #3 & #5 are my faves.
i'm rereading chamber of secrets at the moment, because apparently it has a lot of connections to half-blood prince. but sadly, c.o.s. is probably my least favorite of the series.
but whatev.
i can't reread all of them before saturday, because i have a lot of work hours and a lot of buffy still to watch.

#3 is my fave, but after that I don't really have a preference. I didn't like Chamber of Secrets much after I first read it, but the second time I found myself liking it a lot more. I heard that it has a lot of connections to the sixth book, too, but I didn't notice anything when reading it that I thought might lead to anything. I'm sure I'll see it after I actually read the sixth book, though.

I think if I had to choose a second favorite, #4 would be it. I agree, I really like the whole Triwizard Tournament and Cedric's death and all. Still, there's something about three that makes me love it more than any of the other books.

Thank you! :)
