So I officially have tickets to Warped Tour at Pomona on June 20th! That's only 6 days after seeing Panic/MCS in Anaheim. That'll be a fun week.

Finally caught up on TV stuff. (Well, I only had two hours of TV to catch up on.) I don't really have anything to say about Torchwood or Skins other than Skins was amazing (and I'm pretty sure Chris is my favorite character of the show, which I always forget when it's not his episode because he's really not very present in any other episodes, unlike a lot of the other characters, but then it's his episode and I reminded about how awesome he is) and Torchwood was just ok.

UGH KILLING OFF JIN IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, LOST WRITERS. ARE YOU TRYING TO GET RID OF EVERY CHARACTER/SHIP I LOVE? First Charlie, which, ok, I stopped loving him during probably the beginning of the second season, but I still had residual, first-favorite-character love for him, so I still hated that he was killed off. And now Jin! I mean, I like Sun more than Jin (maybe. Actually, I'm not entirely sure. Maybe I do like Jin more), but I love them both and they've been my favorite ship for... awhile (probably end of the second season, maybe first) and killing Jin is just NOT OKAY. I mean, what next? Going to kill of Desmond (new favorite character of the show)? Or better yet, kill of Penny, so you can put Desmond through tons of grief and then I'll feel all terrible because I love him and want him to be happy. UGH. Why can't you kill off anyone I don't care about?! (Ok, that's not true, because they totally have killed off characters I've hated/not cared about before, like Ana Lucia. BUT STILL.)

Ok. Anyways. I totally called the flash-back/flash-forward thing from, like, the first flash-back. I don't know why. Part of it was that I just didn't expect BOTH Jin and Sun to get off the island, and Sun was obviously in the future what with her being pregnant and all, but there was no indication that Jin was in the present. And also I just expected there to be some sort of twist in there. But for 3/4 of the episode, I was like "So, Sun gets off island and Jin stays." But then all of a sudden, possibly after Jin said what he did about Sun never losing him, I was all "HOLY CRAP. IT MAKES WAY MORE SENSE THAT HE DIES AND NOT THAT HE STAYS ON THE ISLAND. PLEASE DON'T LET THIS BE WHAT HAPPENS." And, of course, it was. UGH. The end totally had me in tears.

The only thing is that I saw other people say that the date on the tombstone was 09/22/04, meaning when the plane crashed. So I'm holding out hope that they're pretending Jin's dead (like Jack said to Kate in her episode about the Oceanic 6 agreeing not to say anything about the people still on the island and pretend they're all dead, or whatever) and that tombstone is from the planecrash and it's the closest thing she has to be able to talk to him and they'll be reunited and it'll be another twist in a future episode like "YOU THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD BUT HE'S NOT!" and then they can live happily ever after. Because seriously, it's like they're going after my ships one by one. Charlie/Claire was my first ship, and then after they started sucking more, I went onto Jin/Sun. Now I'm all about Desmond/Penny (I still love Jin/Sun loads, but my Desmond/Penny love is at least equal to my love for them) so I'm expecting one of them to die tragically at some point, because apparently that's what happens to the ships/characters I love on this show. sigh.

I'm still kind of not over the fact that Lost is actually been really good this season. It's like with The O.C. where it had a great first season, the second and third seasons pretty much sucked (The O.C.'s moreso than Lost's, though), and then the fourth season is all of a sudden good again.

This was... not good. There are so many reasons why this show should be awesome, but it's just... not.

First off, the good: Michael Arden and Lauren Ambrose. Michael Arden is only in a few minutes each episode, but he seems to be able to handle the pacing of the dialogue much better than other actors and he's just kind of adorable. I also have a total bias towards him, so that's also probably why I loved him so much. Lauren Ambrose was also very good. I've enjoyed her in other stuff too, so this is not much of a surprise.

Now, the bad (i.e. the rest). First off, the laugh track. I HATE laugh tracks so much. I knew about it going in, but I was hoping that it somehow wouldn't bother me as much as it did. The only show I can get through with a laugh track is Sports Night, and this isn't nearly as well-acted or well-written as that show. Plus, that show phased the laugh track out so it was non-existent by the second season (maybe even earlier than that, I can't remember), and I had a lot of issues getting through the first couple episodes before I fell in love with that show. I can also watch Seinfeld and Friends, but that's studio audience laughter, so even though I still don't really like it, it's at least natural. Plus, I grew up watching those shows, so I'm just... used to it, I guess. (Plus, those shows are actually funny.)

Second, Parker Posey. I know a lot of people love her, but I've never particularly liked her (I've only seen her in like one, maybe two other things, though). She just... doesn't handle the dialogue well at all. She makes the character really shrill and unlikable which... doesn't make me want to continue watching.

Third, the dialogue. This kind of goes with the above, since I really feel like all of Sarah's lines are written for Lauren Graham. I mean, I could hear her delivery in my head while Parker Posey was saying the lines, and I really wish it had been Lauren Graham instead of Parker Posey because I think she would've been able to handle the dialogue much better and made the character a lot more likable. Besides that, most of the dialogue is just... not funny. And of course, the few moments I did find funny, the laugh track came in and then all of a sudden I felt weird for finding whatever it was funny and it took me out of the show, and it was all just not good.

That being said, I'm probably going to continue watching the show, if only for Michael Arden. And it's only 20 minutes long (well, without commercials. But I doubt I'll be watching it live, so 20 minutes) and none of the other shows I watch have come back yet, so it's not like I'm giving up any other shows for it. Plus, it's run is only like... 7 episodes? So it's not like it's going to be going on very long. And it got like 3.5 million viewers, and it's on FOX, so... I'd be highly surprised if it's not canceled very soon.

Ok I have a headache because my sleep schedule is all screwed up from the time difference (I feel like 2 hours shouldn't make that much of a difference, but it does) so I'm going to go take a nap or something.
