Apr. 21st, 2008 11:58 amHeh, I totally overheard this conversation at breakfast:
Girl: [talking about English class] Yeah, the professor started the first class with the words "Let's go" on the board, and now the last words of this play we're reading are "Let's go."
Guy: What play?
Girl: Oh, it's this short play about these two guys... what is it called?
Girl 2: [apparently also in class] Waiting for Godot.
Girl: Right! By William Beckett.
Girl 2: Samuel Beckett.
Girl: Oh, right. Why did I think William?
This is only so amusing because that EXACT SAME NAME MIX-UP happened to me last Thursday, as I already mentioned. I don't think this girl was confusing the names because of The Academy Is...'s lead singer, but I still found it amusing.
Meme time!
Eight truths and two lies. You guess the lies:
1. I couldn't smell/breathe through my nose at all until I was 5.
2. My best friend moved to New Zealand when I was 8.
3. I started to teach myself to make graphics and design websites the summer before 7th grade.
4. I have illegally pet a manatee.
5. By the time I turned 13, I had visited France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, England, Scotland, Italy, and Portugal.
6. I can play the piano, clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor sax, and baritone sax.
7. In 7th grade, I had the urge to learn Korean, so I taught myself all the Korean characters and some words in Korean.
8. I learned all my multiplication tables (up to 12s) by the time I was 4.
9. I have a phobia of needles/injections.
10. The only funeral I've ever attended was my grandmother's.
I'll post the answers in a few days!
Anyways, I still haven't started my English paper (due Thursday), started studying for my Drugs and Society test (Wednesday), or finished studying for the film vocab test (tomorrow!). ugh. So, time to do some work, I suppose.
