brokenrecordSo I talked to Li today and asked why she didn't show up Saturday or Sunday, and she just said that she was really exhausted and slept 2 days. And she sounded kind of sick and really tired, so like... that's fine, but why didn't she tell me that? I mean, I don't know, I just feel like the courteous thing to do if you sleep through the time you're supposed to meet with someone is e-mail them after you wake up and tell them what happened and apologize. Also, she totally did this last semester at least twice, and it's like... if you realize you fall asleep easily, set your alarm so you don't sleep through group meetings. blah. Anyway, we're supposed to meet tonight to work on our labs and then on the stats project, and then we're supposed to have time in class tomorrow to work on the differential equations project.
I'm kind of amused, though, because, well. Yesterday I mentioned that instead of doing work I should have been doing, I decided to basically watch movies all day (whatever, it was fun and brought my mood up loads). And to feel a little less guilty for doing nothing, I memorized German vocab for the test Friday because I can do that while watching a movie and keep focused on both (if I tried to like... do math homework or my stats lab or whatever, I'd inevitably only either watch the movie or work on the homework, and that's kind of pointless). And then today in class it actually turned out really helpful because she basically quizzed us all on the vocab for the chapter and I felt good because I knew all the vocab.
I'm actually in a much better mood today than I was basically over the entire weekend, which was good. I randomly realized in stats today that I really love all the classes I'm taking this semester, which is very good (even though some of them are causing me some grief). So now I'm kind of in a productive mood. I am very much looking forward to this week being over still, though. Next week won't be much better, though (tests in Multivariate Stats and Research in Psych II), and then the week after that will also suck (test in German and first draft of research proposal due in RIP II, and I don't even have an idea for that yet. ugh.). But then the week after that I have nothing (as of yet. I have a suspicion I'll have a midterm and project due in Differential Equations that week based on Multivariable Calc with the same professor last semester. He doesn't give us a full syllabus at the beginning of the semester, though, so at this point I'm not sure when those will be). But then the week after that will be spring break! On Wednesday I will be exactly halfway through from the start of the semester to spring break (yes, I have been keeping track of this). I'm going skiing with my parents for a few days during the break, and I think Emma might have the same spring break as me, so I might see her during that time, too.
Anyway, time to do work/watch Brothers & Sisters (whatever, I can totally multitask and do German homework/study while I watch the episode) before Wind Ensemble.
