Apr. 15th, 2009 03:55 pmugh so yesterday it was the warmest it's been here in ages (first time I wore a short-sleeve shirt outside since, like, October!) and so Amanda convinced our German lab instructor to have class outside, and seriously we were only out there for like 45 minutes but my arms got sunburnt! What the hell?! I totally didn't used to burn this easily. Now my forearms are all pink and painful. Also, we spent much of the lab getting attacked by a giant wasp, so that was fun.
Pretty much decided on my classes for next semester (I'll talk about them more when I've officially registered, but I don't want to jinx getting the ones I want). In the past when I've planned my schedules the scheduling of the classes I wanted to take worked out well, but for some reason next semester it's awful. It's like every single class I want to take is at one of two times, and obviously I can't take ALL of them, so for awhile I was just stuck with 2 classes and trying to fill in the other 2. Now my only major decision left is whether to take a class on MWF from 12:00-1:00 which would mean having class from 10:50 AM to 3:30 PM which no breaks (and on Wednesdays possibly not until 4:30 if I decide to be in the Wednesday afternoon German lab), or to take a class on TR from 8:00-9:30 AM. The TR class is bad because it's bad enough having a class that early this semester, but next semester I'm going to be living further away and walking to class, and it'll be dark during the time I'm walking to class in the latter part of the semester and I'll have to get up earlier and this semester I was like "Never taking an 8 AM class ever again!" They're both to fulfill the math minor, I'm not particularly interested in either of them and I have to take both of them eventually so it doesn't really matter which I choose, AND I don't know which professor is teaching one of them so I can't decide based on that either. ugh. Right now I'm leaning towards the 8 AM one only because having 4 classes in a row like that would probably kill me more than waking up at 6:30 AM.
I hate how on Monday night I have so much fandom stuff to obsess over and get excited about, and then the rest of the week everything is just eh. I mean, it's not that I don't like the other shows that are on the rest of the week, but my level of excitement over them is just nowhere near it is about HIMYM, TBBT, and Chuck (and even Greek, actually).
Anyways, I got a take-home test for Multivariate Stats today which is due on Monday, so I'm probably going to be pretty preoccupied with that for the next few days. The next few weeks of school are ridiculously busy. On the plus side, my Research in Psych professor pushed a bunch of due dates back and canceled a homework assignment I really wasn't looking forward to doing, so everything will be slightly more manageable. Unfortunately I still won't have much time to devote to fandom-y things.

Date: 2009-04-16 08:09 am (UTC)Monday really is over scheduled with awesomeness. It's kind of hard for the rest of the week to compete. .

Date: 2009-04-16 03:07 pm (UTC)Yeah, I mean, I think that I would be more excited for some shows that are later in the week if it weren't for how awesome Monday night TV is. But once I get through that, nothing else really compares, so I'm just like "Well, it's okay if I wait a few days to catch up on this show" or whatever.

Date: 2009-04-16 06:44 pm (UTC)I actually had the exact same thing yesterday! Well, my teacher didn't want to give classes outside unfortunately, but we did have a few hours between classes and suddenly my arms and face got sunburnt and I didn't expect the sun to be that hot suddenly :/
I hope everything works out for you with your classes!

Date: 2009-04-17 02:56 am (UTC)Yeah, it was ridiculous! I mean, I hadn't known we were going to have class outside, but even if I did, I don't think I would have been like "Oh, better put on sunblock!" Especially not in April in Minnesota when 2-3 weeks ago it was snowing!
Thanks! I'm really hoping it does.
