Apr. 20th, 2009 11:40 amDoes anyone know where you can buy single discs of DVD sets? My mom couldn't find Disc 4 of my Buffy Season 2 DVDs, and I really have no idea where it could be. It's been so long since I watched them, I'm very doubtful that I'll ever find it. And I spent $60 on it the first time I bought the set, so I really don't want to have to buy the whole set again just for 1 disc. I feel like I've heard of buying single discs before, but I just don't know where to look. So yeah, can anyone help me with this?
Anyway, yesterday sucked. I spent all day working on my take-home test for Multivariate Stats. 2-3 hours my ass. This professor is always like "This lab should only take you an hour!" or, for this test, "You should easily be able to complete it in 3 hours!" But no. I spent like 40 minutes on Thursday, an hour on Friday, and ALL DAY YESTERDAY. I think the part she doesn't understand is that her tests and labs have nothing to do with what we actually do in class, she's incredibly unclear, and we basically have to spend hours just trying to figure out what she's asking and what the code is to do whatever it is in R. gah. At least it's over. I'm pretty much dreading my grade on this. There was only like one question I was at all entirely sure of. On the plus side, she definitely likes me and kind of favors me (and she really likes how I write), so maybe that'll help? I'm kind of just hoping that everyone does horribly and she curves it like she did the last one (although those circumstances were really different, so I don't think that's likely =/).
The rest of this week isn't much better. Quiz Tuesday, take-home group Quiz due Thursday (which isn't a big deal except it means trying to figure out a time 4 people can meet and work on it and write it all up and it's just a hassle), methods and results section for RIP due Tuesday, and first draft of entire research paper for Multivariate Stats (which Li and I have pretty much done nothing for yet). ugh, I hate this week. I really wish this take-home test hadn't been pushed back a week because then I could have worked on the paper and the RIP assignment over the weekend. sigh. Have I mentioned that this semester sucks? Because it does. Only 2 1/2 weeks plus 1/2 a week of finals left.
The fact that there is new Chuck tonight is totally helping me get through all this. (Of course, if there were new TBBT and HIMYM, it would make it even better).
