I love episodes like this! Like the Lucky Penny episode back in season 2. I don't know, I enjoy when they play around with linearity like that and all.

I had no idea Stella was coming back! I was totally shocked by that. I was hoping whoever was revealed wouldn't actually be the mother, though, and would be someone who leads Ted to the mother, and it being Stella totally helped prove it to me that that's how it'll be. Because I absolutely do not believe Stella is the mother (I'm totally unspoiled, though, so who knows). Ah, I'm excited for this! I don't care a HUGE amount who the mother is, but I don't know, it's fun that we're getting closer to finding out who she is.

I also loved the end, with Barney glancing at Robin! I enjoy episodes where even if Barney/Robin isn't a huge plotline or point to the episode, they still reference it in some way. Ugh, but they're totally building this up for the finale, aren't they? (Unspoiled, so don't tell me if I'm right!) I really wanted Barney to tell her about his feelings a few episodes before the finale, have her shoot him down because she's so surprised and doesn't take it seriously and stuff, then have Barney kind of be upset/mopey about it but trying to pretend everything's fine, especially when she's around, and her getting upset and realizing she has feelings for him and then the finale being them getting together (yes, I have thought about this WAY too much). But this way I feel like it's not going to happen until the finale, and either it'll be a cliffhanger how she responds or she'll shoot him down (and then in season 5... I don't know, she realizes she has feelings and it's drawn out to the season 5 finale, or something. I don't know. I'm confident they will get together by the end of the series, I just want it to happen sooner rather than later!). I think it's possible that she would realize in the finale that she has feelings for him too and they would get together, but I guess I just don't find it very likely? I don't know. We have so little clue what's going on in Robin's head, I just don't know how to predict her response! I can see her shooting him down initially, though, and really not taking him seriously. But I don't know! I guess I've loved how they've handled them so far, so I need to just trust that whatever they do, it'll be awesome.

OMG I LOVE SHELDON. I already knew this, but I REALLY REALLY ADORE HOW ANAL HE IS OVER SPOILERS. I am so the same way! Seriously, if I don't want to be a spoiled for a show, I don't want to be spoiled for reactions to a show, either! Reactions can be just as spoilery! I was totally spoiled for the fact that Barney and Robin hooked up in Sandcastles in the Sand based solely on my flist's reaction to the episode EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE SHOW AT THAT POINT. So yeah, I AM SO WITH YOU SHELDON.

I really enjoyed Raj this episode! I always like him (he's my favorite non-Sheldon, non-Penny character), but for some reason I found him especially hilarious tonight.

Also, SHELDON MADE A JOKE! HE LOOKED SO PROUD OF HIMSELF! I was totally proud of him for that, actually! Oh, Sheldon. The "It's funny because it's true" just made it even more awesome.

...that's pretty much all I want to say about the episode because ugh, Leonard/Penny. My greatest hope is that they get together in the finale and actually stay together and then season 3 is all about them falling apart and why they're wrong for each other while Sheldon starts maturing and growing and such and then Leonard/Penny can break up and be done FOR GOOD and we can get on with Sheldon/Penny. (Clearly I need to be writing the show!)

I am so exhausted. It was not a good idea to go to bed past midnight (and then be unable to fall asleep for an hour) when I had to wake up at 7 for class and when I have a final at 4:30. blah. Going to class was pretty pointless, too, which sucks. I did find out that I have a 97 in Differential Equations right now, though, so I don't need to worry very much about the final. Which is good, so I can concentrate on studying for my German final instead. But first I need to get through my Research in Psych final. Ugh, can this week be over already?

I don't think Stella's the mother either. I think she may be the person who introduces Ted to the woman he's going to marry. I guess she could still end up being the one, but I think it seems too contrived given what's happened this season. I also loved the ending with Barney and Robin, it was such a nice capper to the episode and I was so touched by the way he looked at her. I hope she doesn't shoot him down! That would be so sad and disappointing, I think deep down, she gets that he has feelings for her, but she's too busy to really address it. Or at least that's how I've fan-wanked it thus far, she could be completely clueless, it would be in character for Robin. I'm totally unspoiled too, it's the best way to watch this show.

Yeah, I just really don't think she is. It wouldn't make sense. I hope she doesn't shoot him down in the finale, but I'm afraid that'll be what happens. I'd be fine with it if it were a few episodes before the finale because then I'd expect in the finale for her to come to her senses and for them to get together, so we'd only have a few episodes of sadness. I think she has to know deep down that he has feelings for her, but she's just in denial, or something, because he's not exactly subtle.
