BARNEY/ROBIN!!!!!!!!! I was 100% unspoiled for this episode, so the Barney/Robin stuff totally exceeded my expectations (I was pretty much just expecting the worst).

I LOVED the game they played with each other, because that's totally how it would go. They're so unsure about this, but their feelings are too strong to ignore it completely! And I loved them saying they were Mosby-ing each other because it's always fun to make fun of Ted (even though I do like him).

AND THE KISS! I really wasn't expecting one, so YAY. I liked too that they left it kind of unresolved between them, because hopefully that means we'll have a lot of wacky hijinks involving them figuring out how to be in a relationship with each other. And lots more making out. That is definitely important and necessary.

I also am glad they told the story of the goat and Ted's 31st birthday because for some reason I was afraid they'd forget about it (even though they've been building to it since like season 1, I believe). AND MAJOR DEVELOPMENT ON THE TED/THE MOTHER FRONT. AWESOME. I love all the little hints we get. That storyline definitely isn't the major draw for me, but I love whenever it's briefly mentioned or just a little bit of progress is made in that area.

Ugh, I'm so excited for season 5 now! I need it to start airing right now!


I am finally back home! I didn't have internet in the place we were staying last night (which was probably the one place I really wanted it because of the HIMYM finale), so that's why my reaction is a bit late. I was going to start checking my flist again once I got back, but I realized that I'm basically 2 weeks behind on all my TV shows except for HIMYM, and there are some I'd really rather not get spoiled for, so I'll probably wait to get caught up until tomorrow.

I completely agree with everything you said :) lol.
My guess was that they'd end the show RIGHT before they MAY kiss.
So I was super surprised to see that happen.
We have to wait so long until it airs too :(

I was pessimistic, so I thought they'd try to drag it out longer until they'd actually get together, so I expected Robin to shoot him down and that'd be the end of it. What actually happened was a million times better than what I feared.

I know! Stupid summer hiatus! I need to find out what happens next between them now!

haha, see you have to faith! I knew they wouldn't build up to...nothing all season. I thought the way they did it was so perfect and SO in character!
I got kind of spoiled for it only a few days before it aired by seeing the promo that showed them kissing. woe. I'm kind of mad at CBS for that. I would have been more excited if I hadn't seen it.

Heh, I know! I should have known it would end up being awesome because everything they've done with their relationship thus far has been awesome. I was a little worried at the beginning when Barney said he didn't love Robin anymore after she told him she loved him, but what they ended up doing with that was just awesome and so perfect. The scene in the hospital where they just keep switching back and forth Mosby-ing each other is so them.

Oh, that sucks you were spoiled. I can't believe they showed them kissing in the promo! I'm kind of glad I was without internet access/TV because I'm so afraid of getting spoiled for shows I care about.

YES! They've definitely opened the way for many future make out sessions! I would love if the season started with them just making out a bunch and not being sure of what exactly is going on between them, and then figuring out how to be in a relationship with each other. Whatever they end up doing with them, I'm sure it is going to be awesome. Ugh, I can't wait until next season!
