I think last night's HIMYM was by far the best this season. I've been liking the episodes, but something's felt... off about most of them. My favorite was the premiere, but from there, I just wasn't feeling the same spark as in the previous seasons. But this episode, from like the very start, I loved it.

One thing I loved was that everyone had a major role in the episode. I mean, so far, Marshall's kind of been... sidelined this season. In the premiere his role was to crack that whip, and in Robin 101 it was to tell Robin and Lily about Ted's Robin classes. At least that's how it's seemed. But this episode everyone had a significant role. And I adored the callback to the Fiero and the song and all that. And there were Canada jokes! Any episode with Canada jokes is gold. (I love Canada! I just find the jokes ridiculously hilarious.) And Barney flew all the way across the Atlantic to get Robin!

Wow Grant is totally an ass! Which I kind of already knew, but still. I mean, he did well coming out to his girlfriend, but at the same time, he taped Rusty to the wall (or whatever) and he changed his mind about coming out to the house and he backed the douchey other guys in the house instead of his boyfriend. I mean, what he's done hasn't been nearly as bad as some of the stuff that loads of the other characters on the show have done, but the problem is that those characters also have redeeming qualities. I was already pretty meh on him before this, and he's done nothing so far to make me like him.

I enjoy that Rusty had a crush on the female Cappie. Not that I ship Rusty/Cappie or anything, but he totally has a mancrush on him, and it makes sense that he'd be into the female Cappie.

I am adoring the Evan/Casey friendship. I would absolutely hate if they ever tried revisiting their relationship, and I'm a little afraid that they will due to Casey focusing so much about Evan giving up his trust fund and how amazing he was for it and all that. I love that Evan and Cappie and Casey are all secret friends, and I don't want anything (such as an Evan/Casey relationship) screwing that up. But I absolutely did love Casey's reaction and how much that meant to Evan, that she said it was great that he did it rather than thinking he was crazy. I think they're setting up for Evan/Rebecca more, though, so I'm probably just being pessimistic.

Lana is annoying and Rowdy Rusty is a really stupid nickname. Spitter is so much better. I am glad it seems that we're done with her.

I loved that Evan didn't tell the house about Calvin, because I was starting to get afraid he would. And OMG FINALLY DRAMA IN A FRAT. In-house division and all that! I was getting irritated by that during my rewatch, that all the backstabbing and fighting within houses was going on in ZBZ and IKI whereas the frats were always united.

OH MAN GINA TORRES IS VANESSA'S MOM! A+ casting, Gossip Girl.

The reason why Vanessa still annoys me from time to time is stuff like this episode. Blair is totally upfront over the fact that she is bitchy and manipulative and only out for herself. Vanessa pretends like she's so much better than all that, but when it comes down to it, she's totally selfish. I was kind of glad that everything fell apart for her.

HA AT CHUCK GOING AFTER A GUY FOR BLAIR. AWESOME. I approve. Also, LOL FOREVER at "You think I really never kissed a guy before?" because I was totally thinking when Blair set it up that Chuck's probably ended up in a 3+some where one of the members was a guy, so I could see him having kissed a guy before.

NO NO PLEASE LET CARTER COME BACK. I inexplicably love him! Well, he's gone and come back before, so maybe he'll be back again.

I'm still going through my Greek rewatch. I just have the season 2 finale left, and then I have to decide if I feel like rewatching season 3, or if I shouldn't bother since I've seen all these episodes so recently. But I adore the show and am kind of obsessed with it right now, so there's a good chance I will. At the very least I want to rewatch last week's episode because it is still filling my heart with joy to think about.

I finally got a bus pass today so I can stop wasting my quarters on the bus and can save them for the laundry machines. And it was such a good deal! They have discount student bus passes at the Campus Center, and I paid $22 for a pass with $44 on it, and it doesn't expire (it lasts until you go through the money), so it was totally worth it. I don't use the bus that often, but I do to get groceries since even though the grocery store isn't too far, it's pretty far when it's raining/snowing/freezing and you're carrying heavy bags. So I'm happy about that.

I talked to the guy I'm working on my group project for Discrete Math with after class, and of course he totally couldn't work on the project at all today. So we'll be working on it Wednesday night. Whatever. I think I'll just agree to whatever he wants to do to revise the project and not stress out about it too much. I got full credit on my revisions to the first exam so overall my grade on it is a 92.5, and on the homework so far I've gotten a 16/16, 23/24, and... something else where I only missed 1 point. And I've done all the reading reflections and gotten 100% on those, so I'm figuring I have an A- at the very least in the class. And I only need a C- to pass, so if we do terribly on the project, whatever. But I probably should start preparing for my Cognitive Psych midterm today so I don't have to rely on having a lot of time to study for it tomorrow or Thursday.
