Jul. 1st, 2006 02:02 pmlk;jasdf I got an A- in English! I went into the final with such a borderline grade and I had worked pretty damn hard all semester and I was hoping for it but I always kind of believed it'd be a B+ but no, I got an A-! :DDD I'm so freaking excited, you have no idea. This is even better than getting an A in CS-2 second semester sophomore year, especially since it means I got straight A's this semester. Now I just wish I had worked harder in English first semester, because if I had, I probably could've gotten an A first semester. Oh well. But yeah, anyways, yay me! :D
Anyways, I can't wait until August. Sure, summer will be so much closer to being over, but at least so will summer school. And August is going to be awesome:
Aug. 5-9: Going to New York to visit Vassar College (one of my top choices)
Aug. 11-14: Going to Minnesota to visit Macalester College and attend Diversicon, this science fiction and fantasy convention my mom attends every summer because she's a science fiction and fantasy writer.
Aug. 18: Wicked with Galaxy and possibly Emma
So yeah, looking forward to all that.
I watched the first episode of Saved last night and I don't hate it, but I'm not a huge fan of it, either. There have only been 3 episodes so far, though, so I'll probably watch the next two and then see if I want to keep watching. I absolutely loved Tom Everett Scott when I saw him in That Thing You Do when I was like 7 and, ok, I don't remember much about that now, but I loved him in the episode, so hopefully he'll make me warm up to the show. My So-Called Life is still first on the list of TV shows to watch next, and I'm also trying to get Sports Night now. So yeah, lots of TV for me to be watching in the upcoming days.
