Ted/Tad: I'm glad Ted finally has someone, but... I don't know. Something about Tad rubs me the wrong way. I don't know what it is, I just feel like there's something... bad about to happen. I mean, he's convincing Ted to drop the birthday dinner even though he was looking forward to it, and all. That alone is enough to make me kind of dislike him. blah. I think my problem with him is that he's so possessive, and guys that are that possessive always seem to be one step away from controlling their partners, and then that ends up being one step away from abusing their partners (either verbally or physically. Or both). I kept expecting to see Tad try to control Ted, even if he didn't go to the extreme of physically abusing him, and I think the end with them kind of was like that. At least, to me.

Drew/Emmett: Aw. I loved Drew/Emmett. I mean, I wanted to punch Drew for kissing another guy, but I still loved their relationship. I had hoped they'd end the series together, but that doesn't look likely now. Oh well.

Hunter: ...ok, I don't really have anything to say about him, except that I adore him and I'm so glad he's back. And he's going to school! Yay for Hunter.

Melanie/Lindsay: I thought it was kind of obvious that Michael would end up agreeing to let them go and Brian would want to keep Gus. Just from everything Justin said to Brian and Michael's expression throughout that dinner with Ben, Hunter, Debbie, and Carl. I don't know. That last Brian/Lindsay scene was totally awwww-worthy, though. Poor Brian. I didn't really think Melanie was being fair to Brian when he told them he wanted Gus to say. I know that she and Lindsay both expected Brian to be fine with it and Michael to have the problems with it, but it was still pretty shitty of her to be like "Eh, it's ok Michael, we expected that from you," but then to Brian "WHAT THE HELL? YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO SAY NO EVEN THOUGH WE SAID YOU COULD TOTALLY SAY NO AND I WAS JUST FINE WITH MICHAEL SAYING NO!"

Brian/Justin: The first scene! guh. And all their reactions were awesome. I loved Ted's spitting out his drink, and Debbie's line that Brian must've knocked Justin up. hee. And Jennifer's. Aw. That was awesome. And them dancing. So sweet. And Justin looks so much happier, so less blah. I did notice that Brian said at least once, if not twice, about the marriage that it was what would make Justin happy. I think that sets it up well for why Brian would suddenly propose to Justin and makes it more in character, even if the last episode made it seem like he was doing a 180.

Oh, man, next week is the finale! I can't believe I've only been watching this show since May. It seems like it's been so much longer. I'll be so sad when it ends. :(

guh. WHY DID THIS SHOW HAVE TO BE CANCELLED?!

First off, I totally shipped George/Mason from the very first episode, so I really didn't enjoy all the Daisy/Mason-ness. I grew to like Daisy more throughout the season (really disliked her when she was first introduced), but... just as long as she wasn't with Mason. Actually, I was fine when they seemed to be just friends and there was no mention of Mason's crush on her, but still. I had really hoped George and Mason would get together by the end. Oh well. =/

The saddest death of all = J.D.'s death. I almost started tearing up at that. I really liked J.D. :( But hee, J.F. Awesome.

Man, seriously. My thoughts are so incoherent on this because... there's so much going on and geez, why did it have to be cancelled? I'm glad this show got 2 seasons when a show like Wonderfalls was cancelled after four fucking episodes (yes, I am still bitter about that, even though it's been over a year. I don't think I'll ever get over that), but on the other hand... when watching the DVDs of Wonderfalls, after the 13 episodes, it seemed over. Like... I don't know. Complete. There were loads of stories that could've still been told, but it was fine being ended where it was. With Dead Like Me, even after two seasons, I felt like there was so much more that needed to be told. It didn't feel complete to me. So I guess that pisses me off about the cancellation the most.

Oh, but that reminds me. This show really reminded me of Wonderfalls in a lot of ways. That's not very surprising, as Bryan Fuller created and was executive producer on Dead Like Me and he was also executive producer on Wonderfalls. For all I know, he also created Wonderfalls, but I didn't check that. Not the plotlines or premise or anything, just a lot of the little things.

uh. Ok. I don't know what else to say. I just wish that it hadn't been cancelled. :( I may have more coherent, intelligent thoughts at another time.

I dispise Tad. With a passion.

I'm loving QAF so much. I just got all 4 DVD sets off of Ebay wicked cheap.

Still pissed about DLM! i so want that show back. *sigh*

Soon they'll be nothing on TV I swear!

The second he came on screen, I knew I didn't like him, and that just strengthened throughout the episode.

QAF is awesome. As I said in the post, I've only been watching since May, but I got hooked to it instantly.

I know. I hate that all the awesome shows are cancelled and almost all the shows that suck last for season after season.

I didn't like him and then it got worse when he sent all those messages. Wiggie much. ugh.

Awww. you should get the other seasons. I'm burning them for a friend of mine for her birthday.

All the crap gets left on the air. it seriously sucks

I know. The messages themselves were creepy enough for me, but then at the end, with the planning a trip when his dinner party was and convincing him to go on the trip rather than spend time with his friends was even creepier.

Actually, my friend gave me a disc that had all the first 4 seasons on them so I was able to see them all and catch up to this season. In crappy quality, but still, I got to see them. :)

I know, it really does suck. All the shows that I love always seem to be struggling to avoid cancellation, but the shows that suck seem to have no problem getting renewed.

I stopped watching QaF this season after getting really bored during 5x01-5x02, but now I'm sorry I did, because I caught last night's episode and now I want to see the rest of them from this season :P I love Drew/Emmett, but I knew it wouldn't work out, and Brian/Justin, god do I love Brian/Justin *g* And now I'm rambling incoherently, eh, it happens *g*

Yeah, I can understand that. The season really picked up with 510, though, and 511 and 512 have been just as good. At least, in my opinion. I wish Drew/Emmett had worked out. I really liked them together. And heh, I know, I totally adore Brian/Justin. If 513 doesn't end with them happily together, I'm going to be very upset.

hey it's been like seven years since cupid was cancelled and i'm still bitter about that.
and i don't know how much hope there is for dvds either.

i have season one of dead like me on dvd, but i never finished watching it.
i think i only got about halfway through when other stuff came up.
i should really finish it one of these days.
i liked it.
i love rube.

I believe I've heard that it's very unlikely Cupid will get to be on DVD, which does suck. Even Wonderfalls was able to get all the episodes on DVD, even though they weren't all aired. =/ I've only seen the first few episodes of Cupid, but I really loved them.

You should finish watching it, it's a wonderful show. :) I liked Rube a lot too.

J.D.'s death totally broke me, mostly because I had a dog that got run over by a car around six years ago, and ouch. I totally got what Reggie was feeling - as if she didn't have it hard enough already. J.F. was cute, though. It's too bad we didn't get to see more of him as Reggie's pet.

I firmly believe that if the show had been renewed, they would have gone the way of George/Mason, albeit it messily because Mason is a messy guy. It just felt like there was setup for it during the last few episodes of the season - I mean, come on. He kissed her! George stood up for him against Daisy! And in the last episode, they had the most screentime together. Some people say they get an older brother vibe off of Mason's relationship with her, but I don't know. Kissing her seems to negate that. And you're right - it didn't feel complete. I think it reached a divide in the road, sort of, with George finally becoming comfortable with herself as a reaper, but everything after that was fair game. So, so upset DLM got cancelled. I don't think I'm ever going to stop hating the execs at Showtime.

Ouch, that sucks. :( I've had pets die before (no dogs, though) and I've gotten pretty broken up about it, so I can understand Reggie's pain. Plus, George had given J.D. to Reggie to help her deal with things (well, in addition to not having anyone else to give J.D. to). It seemed that after she got J.D., Reggie stopped... acting out as much. She became slightly less weird. It was obvious that having J.D. had really helped Reggie, and then to lose J.D. just like that must've been really trying on her.

It did seem like they were going that way in the last few episodes. The kiss (definitely not a brother/sister sort of kiss) and George standing up for Mason to Daisy and staying with him till he fell asleep and the last episode... sigh. I had really hoped they were building up to something between them in the finale, but I guess not. I never got an older brother vibe off of Mason's relationship with her. I mean, I guess, in a way, just because he was kind of protective of her, but I don't know. It was more best guy friend than older brother to me. Man I wish it hadn't been cancelled. I'm going to be pissed off at the executives at Showtime for awhile for this.

There's something UP with Tad and it bothers me. For he has eyebrows of evil.

but it was still pretty shitty of her to be like "Eh, it's ok Michael, we expected that from you," but then to Brian "WHAT THE HELL? YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO SAY NO EVEN THOUGH WE SAID YOU COULD TOTALLY SAY NO AND I WAS JUST FINE WITH MICHAEL SAYING NO!"

I have sooooo many problems with people's double standards when it comes to Brian, I can't even stand it.

And yeah, I've been watching since June and I'm like noooooooooo, don't let it be over!

From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/
There definitely is, and he definitely does. Anyone with eyebrows like that must be evil.

I know. I mean, just because they expected that he'd react differently doesn't mean that it's all right to hold him to that.

Ah, I know! I can't believe it's almost over! I wish I'd started watching sooner so I could've enjoyed new episodes for longer.

Tad seriously creeps me out. I think it's his voice, and that he looks like Guy Smiley from Sesame Street.

I'm still waiting for my DLM dvds to come from Blockbuster Online, they've been on "short wait" since they were released. *kicks Blockbuster*

There's just something about him that looks so... oily and creepy. The eyebrows are also definitely evil.

Aw, that sucks. I hope you get them soon.

Dude, Hunter's so awesome. I love his little Buddha wisdom thing to Ben.

And B/J, as always, is just love.

Melanie seems to get too excited too often.

Date: 2005-08-02 04:12 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/
Hee, yes! That was awesome. Ah, I love Hunter.

Well, of course. That goes without saying. Especially the beginning. And Justin telling Brian that Melanie and Lindsay better not leave until after the wedding, or it'd fuck with his seating chart. And Brian hugging him from behind. [sighs happily]

She does. I want to like her, and during some parts of the series, I have, but... she doesn't make it easy when doing things like this.

From: [identity profile] violetmist2003.livejournal.com
The behind-hugging is so adorable.

Yeah, Melanie really gets on my nerves sometimes. It's probably cause I have such biased love for Brian that anyone who doesn't like him bother me a bit, but she's really quick to jump down people's throat sometimes.

Date: 2005-08-02 05:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/
It is. sigh.

Heh, yes. I like her when she's being Ted's friend and I've liked her at other times (...I can't remember them now), but I don't like her when she's being a bitch to Brian or Lindsay. Which... tends to be most of the time.

Date: 2005-08-02 05:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] violetmist2003.livejournal.com
Heh, that reminds me of the time when Lindsay tells Brian that they're planning to have another kid, and Brian says that just thinking about Melanie is a turn-off. So amusing.

Date: 2005-08-02 05:22 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/brokenrecord__/
Hee, yes. ...yeah, I may be a little biased towards Brian, seeing as Melanie picking on Brian pisses me off, while Brian picking on Melanie makes me giggle. But, well, Brian's hot. I think that should excuse it.

Date: 2005-08-02 05:26 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] violetmist2003.livejournal.com
Hahaha, totally. The hotness justifies it all.
