First day of classes down! They were kind of awesome and I think this semester is going to be kind of kickass.
Intermediate German: This class is with the same professor I had German 101 with, and I was reminded today why he was my favorite. I mean, I liked my other 2 German professors a lot and I was like "Maybe he isn't as good as I remember" but he is definitely the best. I had this class at 10:50, but unfortunately that's going to have to change. They originally opened 2 sections, but there are only 4 people in the first section and like... 9 in the second section, so there's no reason not to combine the classes. I have no idea why they decided to make 2 sections because they did the same thing last semester and had to combine the classes. And the only time that absolutely everyone can meet is at 8:30, which NOOOO I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT NO 8 AM CLASSES THIS SEMESTER. 8:30 is better than 8, but it's also 3 times a week whereas my 8 AM classes were only twice a week. bah. If a couple people can reschedule other classes/commitments, then it might be at a different time, which would definitely be good. In any case, I'm happy that they're combining because I have 2 good friends in the other section and it'll be nice for them to be in the same class.

Social Psychology: I have this with my Directed Research adviser, so that's cool. She's a good professor. Unfortunately she's only teaching the class until spring break because she's pregnant, but it'll still be nice having her for 7 weeks. And I find social psychology really interesting, so it should be fun. Also, no papers or group projects, only tests! Yay! I prefer tests a million times more to papers and group projects. Also, a freshman from my volunteer group who I'm friends with is in the class, so that's nice.

Origins: I'm so excited for this class! The professor, who I kind of already know (she's the wife of my adviser/first year course professor and she subbed for us once when he had to go to a conference), is pretty awesome. And the course just sounds so interesting. And I know a girl from my Directed Research group who's in the class, so that's good.

Tomorrow I have Mood and Anxiety which I'm really looking forward to as it's with my favorite professor and I find the subject fascinating.

I'm also feeling good about this week because omg so much awesome TV! There's a new Chuck, which is always good, but you also have Greek and Psych returning, Skins season 4 premiering, and the series finale of Dollhouse (and while I'll be sad to see it go, I'm expecting the finale to be pretty awesome. Especially since it's entitled Epitaph Two, and I adored Epitaph One so much and had been hoping we'd see more of that stuff). Good TV always makes things better.

Last night around 11 PM I was blowdrying my hair in my room and I... blew a fuse or something? I don't know. The sad part is that this happened last semester, too. I've totally had more things plugged in than I did before and nothing's happened, but something about the blowdryer sets it off. I don't know. I guess I should do it in the bathroom instead where nothing is plugged in and it's on a different... circuit or whatever (idk the lingo, ok?). But anyways, the worst part is that to turn it back on, you have to go down on the basement, which is where one of my roommates lives, and this happened past 11 and she was sleeping when this was going on. So I ended up waking her up (because I wasn't 100% sure she was there anyways, and the lights were off, so I turned the lights on and then she woke up), and I felt so awful about it. ugh. But there wasn't really anything I could do because I needed the electricity back on for things such as my alarm clock.

Anyways, now I need to go get groceries so I have something to eat for dinner rather than relying on Dunn Brothers (a coffee shop) for meals as I have been since I go back.

I'm definitely not usually this excited about classes; I don't think I've been this excited since freshman year, really, when everything was different and new. But last semester was pretty much the worst in terms of classes since I had to take a bunch of classes to fulfill requirements that I wasn't really interested in, so this semester I decided to only take classes that really interested me, and it looks like it might have worked so far.
