Ah, registration! We don't get schedules with teachers (just the schedule of the classes) until school starts, but they put the teachers' numbers to the right, so it's possible to figure out which teachers you have anyways. My schedule:
Period 1: AP European History - 310
Period 2: Honors Chemistry - 102
Period 3: Honors Pre-Calc - 290
Period 4: French 4 - 189
Period 5: Honors English 3 - 182
Period 6: Wind Ensemble - 057
Period 7: Marching Band - 057
There's only one AP Euro teacher, Mr. Ives, so... I know who I have for that. Mr. Tran (had him for Honors Coordinated-Science 2 last year and absolutely hated him. He tests on material he never convered, and it's impossibly hard to get an A in his class) is teacher #545, so yes, I don't have him for Chem! I was so worried that I would. I don't know who the other chem teacher(s?) is. I'd ask Lulu, but she's still in Hawaii. Oh well. I guess I'll just see when school startrs. Last year I had Mrs. Kurdziel for Honors Algebra 2 and I really liked how she explained things, but her number is 365, so I don't have her. I heard also that Shulman is 500 something, so I don't have him. I guess I have Hutchins (sp?), whom I've heard doesn't explain things very well. gah. Oh well. Math is usually one of my easier subjects, so I'll just have to... try harder to learn things myself, I guess. There's only one French 4 teacher (there's no honors for languages, either. It just goes from French 1 to French 4, and then AP French for French 5), DeBerry, so I knew I'd have her. I had her freshman year, for French 2. ugh. Hate. But as I said, there's only her teaching it, so there's nothing I can do about it. This year, though, French 4 and AP French are combined. wtf? I guess it's because there are only 9 people taking AP French, and that'd be kind of a small class. So that means I have to find an AP French book. gah. I'm just going to wait until school starts and DeBerry can tell me what book it is and where I can get it then. Honors English... I'm so scared I have Buckner. I had her freshman year, too, and she's awful. Mrs. Sorey is 520, I believe. However, Jackie has on hers 084, and we think that that might be Buckner. If that's right, then that means I have Moore, which is who I wanted. Yay! If I do have Moore, then I have this with Galaxy (also have French with her, but... that's not surprising). Soan has the same teacher I do 4th period, and Emma... somehow has one semester 4th period and the second 5th. So, yeah. She's going to fix that. God, I hope I have Moore. Then for Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, I obviously have Mrs. Bentley. Or, Mr. Austerman, until Mrs. Bentley gets back from maternity leave.
Ha. This year they actually gave me a PSAT practice test/guide thing! Last year I signed up for it (and took it), and other people got it, but I didn't. I'm happy to have one this year (...though not having one didn't really hurt anything. I still did pretty well).
Didn't get a locker because I was lazy. Plus, the 500 building was closed. I'll get one when school starts. I'm planning on getting one in the 500's, because it's closest to the band room, and most people prefer the 200's and 300's, so it's unlikely that I won't be able to get one where I want one.
Wheee, I also got a parking permit! So now I can steal my mom's car and drive it to school and park there and not worry about being towed or anything! Awesome. Not much use for a car during the school year, though, since our lunch is only 35 min. I need it way more during band camp, when we have a 1 1/2 hour lunch. But then again, occasionally we'll have 1 hour lunches for whatever reason, so being able to bring the car to school would be helpful then.
I started Crystal Cave last night! I'm only up to chapter 5, but it's really interesting so far. I'm glad I'm more into this than the Jane book; should make it easier to get through.
Tonight is the season premiere of Prison Break. I've heard from a lot of people that it's really good, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Edit: So, near the end of music rehearsal, Mr. Austerman was setting the Dr. Beat (if you don't know what that is, it's like this metronome, except a lot louder, so we can keep time) very loud so we could hear it while playing.
Mr. Austerman: Sorry, flutes. [since they're right by the speaker and it's unbearably loud for them]
Andrew: I think you should turn it up louder! [or something like that]
Soan: Aw! But what about Jessica? [she's been insinuating that Jessica and Andrew would make a good couple since like the first day of band camp, since they've been hanging out a lot together, and they kind of would make a cute couple, I think]
Andrew: [contemplates this] ...well, she'd still look good!
Blah ok I cannot describe the hilariousness of this. It was so random and so rude but in a really funny way and... yeah. Plus, I was really tired and I had been laughing at like everything random and at things totally not funny, so when he said that I was like... dead. Anways. That was all.
