Oct. 26th, 2005 10:00 pmAh, such an awesome episode! :D
I think actually the number one part of the episode for me was Duncan/Logan and them trying to mend bridges, as Duncan put it. Makes me so happy. And I loved how Duncan was like waiting for him and then when he turned around it seemed like it would be Veronica and he would be asking her to Homecoming (...or maybe that was just me), but then, no! He's asking Logan out! I like Duncan a lot more when he's interacting with people who aren't Veronica. He becomes a lot more interesting, in my opinion.
But actually, I really enjoyed the Veronica/Duncan scenes in this episode. I mean, I wouldn't go as far to say that I want them to stay together forever and they're my new OTP or anything, but they were actually somewhat enjoyable to watch. The scene where Duncan asked Veronica to Homecoming was very cute, as was them dancing together.
I thought I was starting to like Jackie, but then she set all that up. I kind of had the thought that she might be, but then she was being all nice, and I don't know. I no longer wanted to drive a fork through her head everytime she came on screen. But then it turned out she was being all evil! blah.
Poor Wallace, and poor Veronica. I mean, I know Veronica screwed up, but geez. That scene with her leaving the message... man. Almost teared up. Ok, I changed my mind, that and the other Wallace/Veronica scene with Wallace asking her to do her this favor this time since he's always been there for her were the number one parts of the episode. But no, don't run away Wallace! :( I loved Veronica saying that the one that stayed was the one that cared. Because she tried believing in her mother and sticking with her mother, and she only ended up betraying her, while Keith has always been there looking out for her.
I couldn't really understand why Veronica was bitching at Jackie for dancing with Logan because I thought she was doing it was Logan she was dancing with. Then Veronica mentioned Wallace, and I was all "...oh, right. That makes more sense." So, no real Veronica/Logan interaction this week. Oh well, the episode was still awesome without it. I kind of figured they'd somehow go the way of Logan/Jackie whether it'd be in this episode or somewhere down the line just because of their interaction in the scenes where they're in the same class. Hopefully that'll be the end of it, though.
Dick and Beaver are still missing! But I actually didn't even notice it while watching the episode, so I don't mind too much. I don't really see where they would've fit in, and I have faith that they'll address what's going on with the Casablancas family soon.
Yay for continuity with bringing back characters! Corny! Mr. Wu! Mandy! Continuity is love. And aw to Corny nominating Veronica. He rocks.
The message of the bus going off the cliff was really chilling. I don't really know what else to say about it. So far, I'm liking where the mystery is going. It's really hard to make sense of it now, but I'm betting this will all make a lot more sense once the season's done and we know all the answers.

Date: 2005-10-31 06:01 am (UTC)Yeah, me too. I don't mind them in a slashy way, but I really do just enjoy them as best friends. They were so great in An Echolls Family Christmas, too. I hope there are more Duncan/Logan scenes soon.
