Seen this several places: Ask for my opinion about anything regarding Veronica Mars, the show or fandom, and I shall tell you. It's that simple.

I forgot to mention, I liked Brokeback even better a second time. There are so many little things you notice the second time, and it's just excellent. I also read the book last night and I actually think I like the movie better, just because it gives you so many more details and fleshes the characters out even more.

I also finished About a Boy today, which I really enjoyed, and now I want to see the movie.

Today after finished About a Boy, I picked up Jackie, Galaxy, Justin, and Andrew from their AP Art History review and we played Cranium at my house for like 45 min and then went to UCI center and Jackie, Galaxy, and I watched Pride and Prejudice (my third time). Also, there are ads in the theater that they're going to be showing Brokeback Mountain there soon, so once it does come out, I think we have a plan to see Pride and Prejudice (a 4th time - Jackie really loves that movie. And actually, I thought I would be sick of it by now, but I'm really not. I mean, it's not my favorite movie ever, but I do really enjoy it. And I think I'll always love Colin Firth's Darcy more, but the new Darcy is just... he's just kind of like a different take on Darcy and so they're both different, but I like both versions. But, um, anyways, I do really love the story of P&P, and yeah. Somehow I haven't gotten sick of it yet), then Brokeback Mountain, and then Goodnight and Goodluck, since it's also playing there and I want to see it and I think Jackie and maybe Galaxy want to, too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ANNIE! Even though I already told you that. But still. Happy birthday!

Ah, really? I didn't know that. That's crazy. It must be even more bizarre for them to watch Brokeback Mountain, then.

About a Boy is great, and so is the movie. May I recomend Fever Pitch? It's Hornby growing up in the 60s-70s and being football (soccer) mad. Everything that happens in his life is affected by the game, and there are great insights to London and England itself at the time, and one very lovely chapter on the events of Hillsborough...Enjoyed it much, even if the book is a homage to Arsenal.

Tee hee. Is P&P worth watching? I'm related to purists who will never get rid of ColinFirth!Darcy, and they say the movie changed too much, and was an insult to the times (ie Lizzie going out in her nightgown, them being poor...). We have teh DVD.

It is a really good movie. It's even better a second time, though, because there are so many thigns you don't notice the first time around.

Thanks for the reccomendation. :) I'll be sure to check out Fever Pitch sometime soon.

I don't know, I actually don't think the movie was changed that much. Or at least, it wasn't changed as much as I thought it would be from how everyone was talking about it. You'll probably be disappointed if you go into it expecting it to be exactly like the book or the BBC version. But if you watch it just for the basic story, then it's pretty good. There definitely are moments that I think are just terribly wrong (Mrs. Bennet kissing Mr. Bennet at the beginning, the first Darcy proposal scene where it looks like they're nearly going to kiss), but for the most part it isn't bad.

I need to see the new P&P because I haven't yet. >:O

Oh, and could you let me know when you finish Jackie's P&P DVD? Cause I asked her and she said it'd be fine if I borrowed it, yay. :D

How do you feel about Veronica's character this season? That's kinda vague, let me know if you want me to be more specific.

I think I know what you mean, actually.

I don't like Veronica as much as I did last season, but I don't think I dislike her as much as some people do. When she's away from Duncan and solving mysteries, she's really not that different. And when she's with Duncan, I don't even think that's entirely different from how she was last year, describing Duncan as the perfect boyfriend and thinking if things could go back to that, then everything would be perfect. I think I saw someone else say (and I'm sorry I can't remember who it was) that the two Veronicas aren't very different, just their situations are different. Last year she was an outsider, but this year she's in with the 09ers, and that's what makes her so different from last year. So yeah, I do think I enjoyed her a lot more last year when she was an outsider, but I'm hoping there will eventually be a return to that this season and then I'll like her more again.

I do. It's kind of hard for me to compare it to last season since they're very different in a lot of ways, and ultimately I think I prefer season 1, but I still like season 2 as well. I don't think I'm as obsessive about it as I was at the end of season 1, but I still enjoy all the storylines and there haven't been any episodes that I've truly hated. I think this season will also be a season that once we've been through it and everything has been revealed, it'll be a lot more fun to watch the beginning episodes because they'll make so much more sense (at least, that's what I'm hoping).

Yeah, Brokeback is really good. I really want to see Goodnight and Good luck, but I know a lot of other people who do too, so I'll probably end up seeing it sometime soon.
