I got Rent today! Amazon claimed it wouldn't come until between Feb. 28th and March 4th, which I knew they were lying, but I didn't know how much they were lying. So afterschool we went to In'n'Out and used the gift certificates my dad got me and then came to my place to watch Rent, which all of us had seen except Soan. Then Andrew came to my house like halfway through and he hadn't seen it before and ugh. Irritating. I wouldn't have minded the questions at much, but he was just so... homophobic? Like he said he's not homophobic and I can't really call him that, but everytime Angel was on screen he was all "Ah! The drag queen scares me!" and cringing and he kept freaking making comments, and ugh. So freaking irritating.

But I got to see the deleted part of Goodbye Love which I've been wanting to see since I found out there was a deleted part of Goodbye Love. Ah man, I so wish it had been kept. I also wish all the other deleted parts had been kept (well obviously except the alternate ending; it would've been kind of hard to put that in along with the original ending), but oh well. I can understand why they did it.

Uh, what else do I want to say? I'm really loving Wuthering Heights. I actually like it way more than Pride and Prejudice, which surprises me. But WH is so much more... deep. Just reading it straight on I wouldn't be a huge fan of it, but understanding all the symbolism and stuff under the surface makes it so good.

Anyways, I'm sorry for sucking as an LJ friend. I think I'll be back once the Olympics are over. Right now it's just bad because I'll do homework in the afternoon and then when I'm finally done, the Olympics have started. The few times I've checked my friendslist I've seen a fair amount of people doing "Do you read my journal?" polls and ah. If I don't respond to that please don't cut me, because I usually do read everyone's journal, it's just the last 2 weeks have been weird and I haven't been reading anyone's. Of course, if you were going to cut me anyways and were just using that as an excuse, feel free, but if it's only because of that, please don't. I promise to stop sucking soon.

Now, off to study like crazy for my math test and watch more Olympics!

My homophobic friends are why I couldn't see Rent in theaters. They read the reviews and went "OMG GAY PEOPLE! NO WAY!!" so I've yet to see it. But I bought it off of Amazon today and got two-day shipping so it will arrive Thursday. yay. They would have been irritating if they had gone to see it so at least now I can see it in alone.

Aw, that really sucks. Luckily most of my friends aren't homophobic so it didn't bother them at all. The first time I saw it, though, one of the people I went with was homophobic and was just cringing and it was irritating, but he only did it like once. It wasn't as bad as it was yesterday. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it! :)

I bought Rent yesterday too. And I LOVED the Goodbye Love deleted scende. I thought it was so fantastic. And the alternate ending just rocked, with Angel coming out in the middle of the song...I about died.

Such a great movie.

I know, I really loved the Goodbye Love deleted scene. I really wish it hadn't been deleted, or at least on the DVD they had made the movie extended and edited it (or all the deleted scenes) back in. I liked the alternate ending a lot too, although I'm not sure if I like it more than the original. I think they're both really good.

It really is. I love it so much.
