I must know...how do you get your colors so stark and bright?? I can't get mine all bright and pretty.

It really depends on the icon. I use a fair amount of screen layers (usually at least 1 on every icon). I think what really gets it bright with that contrast is I use a light blue layer on burn and then on top of that a light brown layer on overlay (depending on the image, with varied opacities. Usually I bring the overlay layer down to like 70ish and the same with the burn layer).

Ya know, I used to do something similar to that. I haven't used that method in awhile. However, mine looked very, very dull when I did that, not at all bright like yours. Hmmmm. I use some soft light layers - usually with a tealish color, sometimes green or pink. I also sometimes use this certain blue texture and/or orange-y texture on multiply.

I guess I'll just have to play more. I'm always picking up new methods. Thanks.

No problem. :) I think I'm going to end up doing a tutorial on #24 sometime soon since someone requested it, so when I do that, it can give you a better idea of how I get my colors like that.

Thank you! The text I used on 24 is Century Gothic. I would do a tutorial, but for that icon (and most of my icons) I saved it as a merged file, so all the layers were merged together, so I don't know exactly how I made it (especially since I made that one nearly a month ago). There are a couple here I think I have saved that aren't merged, but not many.

I think I have #24 and #28 saved unmerged, so I could do a tutorial for one of them. If I did a tutorial, though, it'd be a little while, since the next couple of weeks for me are going to be very hectic. But I could do a tutorial after that, probably.
