Caught up on TV today, since all I watched this week was Prison Break, Heroes, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, and The Office. Some thoughts on a few of the shows I watched:
!!! I love Henry so much! I've loved Christopher Gorham since I watched Popular when I was like in 4th or 5th grade, and he's so good on this show. I'm so glad that he wasn't just a one-episode guest star. And I think I mentioned that I was shipping Betty/Daniel, but not until the future when Daniel's changed and I wanted Daniel to develop feelings for her first, and so until that happens (well, if it happens, but I'd be surprised if they never went down that route), I'd be very happy with Betty/Henry. The whole episode was just fantastic. This is totally my favorite new show of the season.
Another awesome episode. How is this season so good?
I'm loving the Ryan/Taylor. Poor Taylor. But awwwww to the end! I'm really looking forwards to seeing things develop between them, because they're so awesome together. Taylor is the best character ever.
And the Seth/Summer at the end was so sweet, too. I shipped them so hard in season 1, and they just haven't been as good since then, but I really loved them here.
I think I liked this episode a lot. I don't really know why. There could've been more Tom (he's pretty much my favorite character, except maybe Matt), but overall I enjoyed it.
I'm really glad they're making Lucy a more permanent character (or, well, it seems like that. More than just a... 5 seconds of screentime in one episode sort of character) because I really like her. Although maybe that's just because everytime she's on screen I can't help but think "Dawn!" and then create different scenarios as to why she's in L.A. and what's going on with her and Tim, and such. (I'm kind of incapable of separating actors/actresses from the first role I've seen them in.)
It felt really weird to be happy during the scene that Logan dumped Veronica, but I so was. I think I was mostly just glad that he was doing the dumping, and not her. Hopefully this will sort of give her a wake-up call and she'll realize what an ass she's being to Logan, and that she can trust him, and that he does love her. I think I liked them as a couple so far this season more than most have, but I do prefer when they're kind of... right on the edge of getting together, like in Hot Dogs (there is no bounds to how much I love them in that episode), or in Plan B, and such. And this is a good way to get back to that kind of dynamic between them.
I liked the resolution of the rape mystery. Neither of them were surprising on their own, but it was surprising that there were two of them rather than just one. I totally started thinking Moe would be involved ages ago, and especially during the part in this episode where Veronica was telling him to let her know if he drove any drugged girls back. I did hate, however, how Veronica rushed over without letting anyone know. She had a phone, she could've easily called Logan and Wallace or Mac and Piz to let them know what was going on and get some back-up. Even if they weren't there as soon as she was, they'd know where she was and could come help her as soon as they could. She's supposed to be smart, but then she pulls crap like that, and I know it's just to have exciting, tense scenes like they've had in the previous two finales, but it's really just unbelievable at this point.
Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to the next arc. I have liked this season so far more than I think most have, but this episode was definitely the best so far, so I hope they continue with this quality of episodes when the show returns.
Had an interview Thursday at Claremont McKenna. I think it was my best one yet. I mean, it wasn't amazing, but it was definitely better than the other two ones. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this. I have another up in Santa Monica tomorrow for Lewis and Clark College. I'm not too worried about it, though, because it's a safety school, so as long as I don't offend the interviewer in some way, I'm pretty sure I'll get in.
Yesterday was great fun. After school we got cake because it was Mrs. Daley's last day officially. Then after jazz band, I went to Comedy Sports at school with Emma, Galaxy, Richard, and Andrew. After that, all of us except for Galaxy went to Emma's house and played this game called The New Yorker which is kind of like Words of Wiz-dumb, except you make up captions for pictures instead of filling words into sentences.
I think now I should probably get some homework done since I have a lot to do and tomorrow is the interview and then afterwards I'm going to try to go to Emma's Youth Symphony Orchestra concert at Chapman.
