So, um, I think I got the job at the movie theater? The interview went ok, and at the end he gave me Reference Check Sheets to give to my references to fill out (because apparently they're too damn lazy to actually call their references themselves. ugh. So annoying. It's not like I see these people very often. It's going to be a pain to figure out how to get it to Mrs. Bentley) and said to turn them into him as soon as possible because he can't offer me a job until then. But from how he worded it, I assume he's going to give me the job? I just have to get those sheets in. I think I'd be a lot happier about getting the job if I didn't have to go through this. I keep wanting to say "SERIOUSLY. IT'S A MOVIE THEATER. DO YOU REALLY NEED REFERENCES TO TELL YOU THAT I CAN MAKE CORRECT CHANGE OR GIVE PEOPLE TICKETS OR SWEEP FLOORS?"

The questions at the interview were kind of ridiculous, too. He asked me what my favorite movie was, which... ok, reasonable. But after I told him, he asked me to describe the plot. I mean, I guess it makes a little sense because someone could try to be all pretentions and be like "Citizen Kane" without ever having seen it, and then not know the plot. ...but still. So I said my favorite was Moulin Rouge just because it really got me into watching movies and looking for other great movies and a lot of it was nostalgia, and then I was describing the plot and I said the courtesan died of tuberculosis and he kind of frowned at that and shook his head and I was like "WTF?!" in my head, but I just said "I think it was that. They called it something else in the movie, but it's tuberculosis. She coughed blood a lot!" And then (he took notes every once and awhile based on what I said), I kid you not, he wrote down "coughed blood a lot" under where he wrote down "Moulin Rouge" for my favorite movie. Just... what? What does that note even TELL him? Good lord.

Anyways. Panic at the Disco/Motion City Soundtrack/The Hush Sound/Phantom Planet concert in Anaheim is only a week from today! I'm so excited. :D Is anyone else going? And does anyone know the venue/band's policy on digital cameras? I want to take pictures, but I don't want to get my camera confiscated or have to waste money on a disposable when I already have a digital.

Mrs. Nichols came over to install the software for the website and show me how to change stuff and all. I talked to my mom afterwards and she's going to e-mail Mrs. Bentley about it and then try to get me out of doing a mock-up. Because, I mean, I don't see the real point in it. I'm going to meet with her anyways to talk about what she wants and what I think and stuff and like... I can do a lot of stuff in PSP that I may not be able to do in the site and I'd use PSP to make a mock-up, and... yeah. So. We'll see. Plus, I have a lot of other stuff I really need to be doing instead.

I watched Moulin Rouge again last night. You'd think I'd cry less the second time watching it, but I definitely cried more. guh. You'd also think that watching it again would help the obsession wear off, but I think I'm even more into it than before. sigh. I need to make icons of it sometime. I also need to stop getting so obsessed with things.

Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] spike_buffy: List five songs that you are currently digging... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the five songs in your blog. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.

1. The Music and the Misery - Fall Out Boy
2. Kill the Messenger - Jack's Mannequin
3. New Day - Mêlée
4. Stay Where I Can See You - The Starting Line
5. Aside - The Weakerthans

I'm bad at tagging people and remembering who's already done this, so just... do this if you feel like it.

I'll do the shipper meme thing later today. Right now, I'm going to go watch the episodes of Arrested Development I recorded from Friday night.

I have drunken far too much Pepsi in the last 2 days. I had like 3 glasses of Pepsi at the restaurant we went to for lunch Friday, then we got like a liter bottle of Pepsi at Albertsons (among with much other junk food) and I kept drinking cup after cup of that in hopes that it would keep me awake (...except I conveniently forgot that Pepsi doesn't have any effect on me except when I don't have it for a few days, and then I start to get headaches. So yeah, that means that I'm addicted to caffeine, and that's probably really bad, but... I can't bother myself to care) and then today for some reason I drank a bunch of Pepsi because I kept getting really thirsty (sflkas should've just drinken water!). I really don't think I want to know how many cans of it I've drunken in the last 2 days.

When I went on Tiffany's computer when I was at her house, I checked out my LJ and gahhh my icons/layout look so horrible on her monitor! geez. I hope how they look on my monitor is the same for most people.

I'm being a very horrible LJ friend this weekend. I mean, I'm normally not that great of a commenter but I always at least read every entry. I'm just too exhausted to think right now, so I skimmed through everyone's posts and didn't comment at all. I'm sorry. I'll be better once I get sleep.

I'm currently downloading Moulin Rouge because I am insane and obsessive and must see it again (and then icon! yay!). This is actually pretty crazy for me, as I usually forget about movies after I've seen them pretty quickly. I don't get into them like I do TV shows. The download rate is insanely high (like 291 KB/sec. I consider 50 KB/sec good on this computer, usually, and 80 KB/sec a high, so... yeah. 291 KB/sec is huge.) which means it'll finish downloading soon and knowing myself, I'll probably stay up till 1 or 2 AM watching it even though I'm operating on a little over an hour of sleep and I just saw it last night. gah. I need to get less obsessive over things.

I think my brain has officially stopped functioning. My thoughts are making absolutely no sense to me anymore. This is probably a good indication that I am tired and need sleep and shouldn't stay up late watching Moulin Rouge for the second time in 24 hours/making icons, but I doubt that I will listen to myself.

Shipping meme: Ask me me my opinion on any ship of the listed shows and I'll post my opinion on said ships in another post (tomorrow, once I am able to think semi-coherently again).
