;lkajsd I got an A- in both calculus and physics! I'm so excited! :D The physics I was more sure about, but the calculus final was so much harder than I expected, and I was really afraid I had done badly. But I did really well on both of them! So now the only grade I don't know for sure is Chem (since in English I had like an 85.6, so I doubt my final changed it much either way, and in band I'm assuming I had an A). But I'd be ok with getting a B in that class (especially since the final was super hard. It was definitely my hardest final) after getting As in both calc and physics. wheee I'm happy. :D
I marathoned Torchwood yesterday.
I kind of love this show. I saw up to episode... 7 I think when it was airing and then stopped because I was busy and then because my computer died and then when I got a computer back it was finals and such, so then I marathoned it, and oh man. There are some really amazing episodes in the second half of the season. I didn't really like Random Shoes, mostly because it just felt like Love and Monsters: Torchwood version (although I think I liked it better than Love and Monsters because at least in this you got to see the main characters more often, whereas Ten and Rose were barely in Love and Monsters, and I just think it was better done in Random Shoes) and I didn't really need to see that storyline again. But They Keep Killing Suzie and Captain Jack Harkness and End of Days were all just amazing. And I liked Out of Time and Combat well enough too. End of Days is totally my favorite. Just everything about it I loved.
And ah man, Jack/Ianto! I think I mentioned I kind of shipped them after Cyberwoman, but I didn't really think anything more would happen between them. I mean, they only kissed in that episode because Jack was reviving him, and Ianto was even like "I hope you die and I can stand by and do nothing" or whatever (which by the way, what happened to that? I mean, I'm happy for the Jack/Ianto, really I am, but how did he go from hating him one episode to sleeping with him 4 episodes later). But then the stopwatch! And the final episode! He was totally the most upset that Owen killed Jack, and then how Jack couldn't stop leaning on him when they were all in the street and the big scary doom monster was coming towards him, and how awkward Ianto looked when Jack was alive again and trying to figure out what to do and then Jack just hugs him and then the kiss! Ah, man, I love them. I mean, Jack/Rose/Doctor is the best, but... that can't happen anymore what with Rose gone and Jack/Doctor is also made of awesome, but I mean it's not like the Doctor's going to become a regular on Torchwood, so Jack/Ianto for OTP for Torchwood.
Um, yeah. Anyways. So I kind of love this show, and now I want season 2 very much, but I don't think they even start filming it until August. :( Sadness.
I also finally managed to watch the Doctor Who Christmas special. (slightly spoilery for season 3. Not for all of it, just one thing, but yeah)
Oh, man. The storyline with the bride wasn't that amazing, but the Doctor made me totally love this episode. I couldn't stop from tearing up everytime Rose was brought up, especially when he saw that couple dancing at the reception and was remembering him and Rose, and then at the end when he told Donna her name. Oh, poor Doctor.
And, you know, I really want to watch season 3, I really do, but I don't know if I can handle it. The thing is, it's bad enough when he does remember her and get all sad, but I think it would be worse for me if he just started moving on. And it's not really fair to his new companion if he's obsessing over his old one, but I don't want her to just be forgotten, and I know eventually (probably quickly, even) Rose will stop getting mentioned, and I don't want that. I'm all conflicted. :(
I know I'll still end up watching because of Jack being in a few episodes and I've really missed the interaction between Jack and the Doctor but man. I think the first few episodes are going to be really tough for me to get though. =/

Date: 2007-01-28 03:04 pm (UTC)As for the Christmas special - I like it a lot. The Doctor broke my heart every time he was reminded of Rose. I don't know either what to expect/feel about season 3. I want to watch it (badly) but Rose's absence makes me dread it in the same time. And I'll hate it when Rose will stop being mentioned. I did read that David said the new companion would be something else entirely, that here relationship with the Doctor would be somewhat different. And that gave me a bit of hope.

Date: 2007-01-29 07:12 am (UTC)I'm hoping the new companion will be entirely different because there's no way she can replace Rose and so if she's as different as possible from Rose than at least it won't feel as much as she's just a substitute Rose.

Ah, me too, but they have to, don't they? They can't keep us wondering for another season!
I heard Ianto was supposed to be in the second season more than the first, which I'm looking forward to.
I sincerely hope Ianto will be more active and present in season two. But he should be autmatically since he was supposed to die somewhere in season 1 (and when he didn't he just got written in a bit more - but not enough!). I love the boy <3

I really hope so too. Though I sometimes wonder how they can make her almost the opposite of Rose ... But David Tennant said she was someone else entirely and it always seems like he knows what he's talking about regarding the Who Universe, so ...

Date: 2007-01-29 10:09 pm (UTC)Yeah, I heard that he was supposed to die in season 1, and I'm so glad they changed their minds about that, because Ianto is totally my favorite character besides Jack.
