ugh. I'm sick. I hate being sick. I guess I should just be thankful I didn't get sick the day before finals like I did last year.

I spent Saturday and Sunday watching The West Wing Season 1 DVDs that Jackie and Andrew gave me.
I really like the show. I don't think I could ever become really obsessed over it, like with Veronica Mars or The Office, but I really like it. I love Sam and Charlie and Josh and Donna and Josh/Donna and C.J. and Danny and C.J/Danny and Leo and Toby and Zoe and I just kind of like President Bartlet honestly, but I mean I don't dislike him. For some reason I just don't like him as much as everyone else on his staff or in his family. The only character I don't like is Mandy but that was only for the first few episodes I think because after that she just sort of faded into the background and didn't do much and I don't think she lasts much longer than season 1, so I don't really dislike her.

Um, yeah, I don't know. It's just really enjoyable to watch, and I love almost all the characters, and I'm really into politics, so yeah. I just like it.


I'm buying season 2 on iTunes since I have that $150 gift certificate from my dad for iTunes and it's cheaper and faster than Amazon. Now I just need to figure out what to do about the other 5 seasons.

Prison Break, Heroes, and Studio 60 on tonight! I love Monday night TV. I really loved last week's episode of Heroes (I'm so glad I decided to stick with this show, because it got so much better after the first episode, and it just keeps improving), and last week's Prison Break, so I'm especially looking forward to those. Studio 60... eh. I absolutely hate the way they characterized Danny last week (way to make something totally sweet and adorable get incredibly creepy and stalkerish within like 5 minutes). But I love Matt and Jack and Wilson White and Tom and Lucy so I'm still looking forward to the show.

yay, west wing! i am so obsessed with it. i love everyone! well, mostly; mandy was a total psycho, and completely worthless. toby, josh, and donna are my faves. and i think the best stretch of the show so far (i'm on season 4) has been the second half of season 2 through the first half of season 3. but it's a totally solid show in all.

You know, I said I wasn't obsessed with it in this post, but since then I've watched the first like 6 episodes of season 2 and I think I'm becoming obsessed with it. They were all good, but I particularly loved the first two, and I think I'm only going to get more obsessed from here.

I didn't like Mandy at all, but it was kind of awesome how she just disappeared from the show without a mention. I don't really know if I can choose faves. I know I really love Sam and Charlie, but then I also love Josh and Donna, and from there I love Toby and then Leo and C.J. and Danny and Zoey and pretty much everyone.

Yay West Wing!!! I'm pretty obsessed. I didn't think I ever would be obsessed with this show, but, well, heh. I'm almost done with S5 -- and I have S6 & S7 coming in the mail soon. Barnes & Noble was (is?) having a buy one get one free sale, so I took advantage of that. Happy watching! ;)

Yeah, I didn't think I'd be obsessed after the first two episodes or go out of my way to get more seasons, but I really fell in love with all of the characters after seeing all of the first season, and I immediately started looking for ways so I could quickly watch more. Thanks for letting me know about the sale! I was going to go and buy season 3 and 4 with the sale, but then it turned out it's only applicable to seasons 6 and 7. I ended up buying 3 and 4 anyways though because I remembered I had a gift card to Barnes and Noble and it covered almost the entire cost, except like $10.

I'm the exact same way with President Bartlet! Like, I feel like I should like him more, since I love everyone on his staff and they all worship him. But mainly I'm just "eh" towards him...and most of his family, actually.

Yay, I'm so glad you're getting into The West Wing. Season two is totally made of win, so it's a good season to buy!! I would say seasons two and three are my favorites.

Ah, good, I'm not the only one. I like him well enough, but I think what really makes his administration great is all the people around him (i.e. Leo, Josh, Sam, Toby, C.J., etc.) and not necessarily himself, so while I don't think he's the best president in the world, I like his administration because of them. I really like his daughter Zoey, I'm not really sure why honestly, I just do, and I'm kind of indifferent towards his wife.

I've seen about 6 episodes so far and I absolutely loved the first two. I mean, the rest were good, but those stood out. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of season 2, and I ended up ordering seasons 3 and 4 at Barnes and Noble since I remembered I had a gift card to there, so hopefully I'll have those to watch soon too. :D

I'm just getting into The West Wing myself after having S1 given to me as a Christmas present. I really like it, it's good entertainment and I can't stand politics shows normally. It's got that great balance of reality, entertainment and laugh out loud moments and the characters are so well written (with some exceptions) and likeable. You get attatched to them so easily. I really like President Bartlet though. Most of the time. There have been some times where I'm a bit 'meh' about him but then he starts being really funny and supportive to his staff and Leo and I start liking him again. I also love how well explained it is, because I just don't get politics and I love how they tend to use Josh and Donna's conversations to explain things to the viewers in simple terms.

I'm lucky in that s2 is being re-run here on Sunday nights, so I'm watching my way through that every week and hoping and praying that after s2 it will run straight into s3 (it did that from s1 to season 2).

And also, totally agree with you about Danny on S60 last week. Really did not enjoy him in that episode, which sucks because he is normally my favourite.

And ugh, everyone seems to have gotten sick at the same time - I myself have a killer cold.

I am already really into politics so it makes sense that I'd like this show, but I don't think I'd be that crazy about it if it weren't for how well the show blends humor and drama and how well-written, as you said, most of the characters are. I don't dislike President Bartlet at all, but I just don't think he's totally amazing. What I do think is really amazing about his administration, though, is all the people he's surrounded with, so I still end up liking that he's president anyways.

Ah, that is lucky. I'm pretty sure it's rerun here, but I don't know at what time or what channel or where it is, and I don't really want to have to wait until it gets to the point I'm at.

I think I saw a lot of people felt the same way, that he was just being creepy, which sucks because normally he's such an enjoyable character. I think he improved a lot in last night's episode what with him apologizing to Jordan and telling her he'd give up, but he was still not as good as he normally is, in my opinion.

Yeah, everyone on my friendslist seems to be sick all of a sudden! It really sucks. I hope you get over your cold soon!
