Mar. 13th, 2006 04:35 pmFirst off, Multi-Fandom Friending Meme! Welcome to all my new friends! :D
So, I've successfully gotten Galaxy in love with Wicked. I rule at life. Now I just have to convert every single other friend of mine into loving it.
This week is the Band and Orchestra District Festival which means a bunch of bands and orchestras come to my school and play in front of judges and get scores and the people in the bands and orchestras at my school help run it. So that means I pretty much don't have school on Thursday and Friday since I'll either be playing in the festival or helping out. I'm being a guide, sight-reading... helper?, and floater. The floater kind of annoys me since it means you essentially do nothing, but I felt better about that because Emma switched with me for one of the groups I was guiding and now I get to guide Woodbridge Wind Ensemble, which Annie is in, and means that I get to see her for sure for the first time in forever.
We finished the 1992 version of Wuthering Heights. So terrible. It's supposedly the best version, but I don't think that's saying much. It was just totally ridiculous. But still, very entertaining to watch, I suppose.
blah. English unit test and pre-calc quiz tomorrow, so I should probably be studying now.

Date: 2006-03-14 12:52 am (UTC)My friend just burned me the entire Wicked soundtrack and I love it! I had seen the first part, because Randy Harrison is it in lol, but I haven't gotten a chance to watch the rest of it, although I am totally in love with the muusic!
Good Luck studying!

Date: 2006-03-14 12:54 am (UTC)I finished reading the book like last week and then I immediately read a transcript of the musical and bought the soundtrack, and I absolutely love the soundtrack. I can't stop listening to it. Oh man, Randy Harrison's in it? I think I may have known that at one point, but I totally forgot. It would be so much fun to see him in it.
Heh, thank you! :D

Date: 2006-03-14 01:16 am (UTC)It's surprisingly easy to make people fall in love with Wicked. Like, they listen to just a few songs and they're in love. It's really awesome. I need to read the book though. I own it, just haven't gotten around to reading it.
I totally hated the 1992 version of Wuthering Heights. I guess it was okay because I hadn't read the whole book, but it was just...bad. And stupid. And people in my class fell asleep during it.

Date: 2006-03-14 01:20 am (UTC)Haha, I know. It's such an awesome musical, I adore the soundtrack. I really enjoyed the book, but it's loads different than the musical. I think I like the musical more, but the book is still very good.
I absolutely love the book, so the movie was just a huge letdown. I hadn't expected it to be great, but I also didn't expect it to be that bad, either. Everyone was giggling and talking throughout it just because of how ridiculous it was.

Date: 2006-03-14 01:38 am (UTC)Heh, I know. I never disliked musicals, but I never really cared much about them. But I saw Rent and fell in love with it, and the same with Wicked, so now I'm starting to get really into them.

Date: 2006-03-15 06:41 am (UTC)One Tree Hill I caught like... the first episode or so of the first season and then it conflicted with some other show and I wasn't too interested in it so I watched the other show, and I haven't seen it since.
