Ugh. I've just kind of felt like crap for the past few days. My abstract film is due a week from today, and it's just stressing me out ridiculous amounts. I tried all weekend to come up with an idea and I just couldn't figure out anything. I finally just thought of something this morning and developed it and I talked it over with my professor and it seems like it'll work? Except it seems kind of basic and obvious and boring. But at this point, I don't really care. When I was talking to him, he was like "It seems like you're really stressed out about this" and I was like "Well, yeah. This is like one of my least favorite things to do" (ok, I didn't quite say that, but I said that I've always disliked making films) and he was like "Don't be stressed! This is supposed to be fun! Now I can understand stressing out about the paper..." and then I was like "Oh no, I'm stressed out about that too. You just haven't assigned that yet, so I'm prioritizing stressing out over the film." But he said he can talk to me about the paper when he assigns it and get me less stressed out about that too, which would be good. I just hate the rest of this semester. There is just so much crap left. And I have this list of all the stuff I'm worried about, all the major assignments I have left in the semester, and after 2 weeks, I've crossed out 2 out of 12. And the two things I was probably less stressed about than anything else. I just need this semester to be over now. Thinking about the next 4 weeks makes me feel like throwing up.

Anyways, meme time to get me to stop stressing out for a few minutes and just relax and such. This is the meme about usernames and journal titles and all that.


1. My username is ______ because ______.
brokenrecord__. When I made this journal, I intended for it to be an icon journal only. So, when I was picking out the name, I didn't give it much thought. I grabbed a CD jacket that was on my desk (from The Alkaline Trio's Good Mourning. I'm actually not sure which song. I think it's "This Could Be Love." I mean, obviously the phrase "like a broken record" has been used before that song, that's just where I got it from. The two underscores are because brokenrecord without any underscores and with one underscore were taken. It can be annoying to have 2 underscores because sometimes people think there's only one and will credit brokenrecord_ for icons (although... I haven't really been posting icons very often) or whatever. But I actually like how two underscores looks better. I get the urge to change it every once and awhile, but there's nothing I really want to change it to. Plus, I (cynically) think it's kind of fitting a lot of the time based on what I post about.

2. My name is _____ because ______.
Michelle. It's... my name? I wasn't creative enough to actually come up with anything, and I was fine with letting everyone online know my real name. (Fascinating, isn't this?)

3. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
time turned fragile. It's the title of a Motion City Soundtrack songs. I named my journal that when I first got my paid account because my first paid account layout was Veronica/Logan and had lyrics from that song that matched the scene in the header pretty well. After that, I never remembered to change it. But I don't know, I like that phrase.

4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
Friends. Because it's my friends page. I wasn't actually aware you could change the title, or where you could. I doubt I would have changed it even if I had known. I suck at coming up with titles. If I did change it, it would probably just be to some of the lyrics from "Time Turned Fragile" to match the journal title.

5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.
Because it matches my layout. My default pics always match the header I have. Either I find an icon I already have made that matches the header (which is rare, although it did happen in this case) or I make a new icon out of the header/to match the header. It's a coincidence that this happened to be my favorite icon I've made in awhile (although I'm liking it less now, mostly just because I'm exposed to it so often). The last default icon I had, the one that matched the Ten/Rose header I had for like 9 months, I absolutely hated, and I hated it from pretty much day one, but I had no other icons that matched and didn't have PSP forever to make a new one that matched (and after awhile, I just got used to it).

Ok, now I'm going to watch Skins and then go to dinner and then maybe get some work done before my psych discussion group (we're watching Who's Eating Gilbert Grape tonight which I've been wanting to see for ages, so I'm really excited about that).

Ugh, thanks. School is evil. Especially when you choose the wrong classes (or the wrong combination of classes. Way too reading/paper heavy this semester).

I just got back from watching it, and it is a really wonderful movie! I'm glad I got to see it.
