Ah man, I spent yesterday afternoon reading Twilight, and I forgot how much I enjoy it. I mean, sure it's not the most well-written book I've ever read, and it's terribly cheesy and predictable and all that. But whatever. It's just loads of fun to read. And so I ended up ordering New Moon from Amazon (Eclipse is the only one I actually already owned before I got Twilight the day before, for some reason. Breaking Dawn has been pre-ordered for like a month, though), and I'm hoping that comes within the next few days so I can read that and then Eclipse. And now I'm getting very excited for the movie, even though I'm not expecting much from it. Although it's not like the books are really high literature, so maybe it won't matter anyways.

I had an optometrist appointment yesterday, and they imaged the back of my eyes, and apparently there's a "freckle" on my left eye. I don't know if that's a literal freckle or something else that they just call a freckle, but in any case, I have to go back in two to three weeks to get a... dilation? I think that's what it's called? I've never had one before, but apparently it makes your eye really sensitive to light for several hours, and I had other stuff to do after the appointment, so I didn't want to do it right then. So that's kind of annoying. It better be nothing. I also got new glasses since mine are several years old and my optometrist was scandalized that I wear my contacts for like 15+ hours a day, and I told her that my glasses are too weak to use as anything other than back-up, so... yeah. I really like the new frames. Not going to get them until I go back for the dilation, though.

Ack, I hate having my eyes dilated. I'm already super sensitive to the light (well, the sun, to be more specific) and it makes it ten times worse. Make sure you bring sunglasses with you for afterwards! Although, it is kind of cool to look at your eyes in the mirror after they dilate them...your pupils get HUGE! :)

Heh, well at least I get that to look forward to. But yeah, I'm not happy about having to get my eye dilated. Especially because it'll likely turn out to be nothing. Oh well. At least it's not for another few weeks.
