Apr. 14th, 2009 11:25 amOh man for some reason I totally thought Chuck was going to be a rerun last night, so it was pretty awesome to find out it was a new episode. I have no idea why I thought that. I also remember thinking a few days ago that there was only one episode left in the season, but there was 3 left before last night and 2 left now. But seriously, Mondays are the most ridiculously awesome night of TV ever.
HOLY FUCKING CRAP. Oh man, I adore Chuck/Sarah SO MUCH. I KNEW she couldn't do that to Chuck. I feel like Casey's also going to end up like... helping them in the end in the next episode because Chuck has totally grown on him even though he'd never admit it. I loved how disappointed he was when General Beckett told them that they were disbanding the project.
Even the Buy More plot was better than they usually are. Partially because TONY HALE.
I guess I don't really have much to say about this episode, I just kind of want to flail and grin a lot about it. Also, the promo looks ridiculously amazing and I absolutely cannot wait until next week. (Although the end of it seemed really spoilery and now I kind of wish I hadn't watched it.)
MARSHALL KNOWS! OH MAN. For some reason I decided that Marshall definitely didn't know! I know it's kind of been debated and some people were like "There's no way Lily didn't tell him!" and then other people like me were like "No, he doesn't know!" Part of it was I decided that they wouldn't just have him KNOW and not show it. But actually it does make more sense that Lily told him. But I love that the reason that this hasn't been mentioned up to this point was that Marshall and Lily totally ship Barney and Robin, and they wouldn't want to say anything to screw it up! lkjs oh many I adore Marshall and Lily! My reaction to Marshall saying that he and Lily tried to sit on the same side of the booth was that so they could sit next to each other was basically the same as Barney's: "OMG HOW SWEET!"
But even more importantly than Marshall knowing, BARNEY TOLD HIM. I mean, yeah, he already knew, but the fact that Barney told him is awesome. And now the only one who doesn't know is Robin! Which seems weird that they're all hanging out together and 4 of them know and she doesn't. But I guess it's not clear if Ted knows that Lily and/or Marshall know, or if they know that he knows. I would guess not. I also adored Barney's reaction to Marshall being all "Oh, great, you probably make fun of me behind my back" (VERY paraphrased) because he would totally think that because in his eyes love makes you totally lame (like how he was when he was in love with Shannon, or how Ted is in any relationship ever) and worth of being made fun of. That little insecurity was kind of awesome.
Just lksjf ugh this episode was awesome! Like, school has been so busy and stressful and the main way I was getting through the past week was "There is a new HIMYM on Monday. Just get through Monday," because Monday is a much closer and more feasible goal than the end of finals. And then I was afraid that I had built it up too much and it wouldn't live up to my expectations, BUT IT SO DID. So totally worth the wait. I loved all of it.
Also, randomly, I adored Robin's "Hey Ted, the table says that you're a douche" (or whatever it was; I'm doing this from memory). Oh Robin, I love you. (And I definitely like Ted, too, but making fun of Ted is always fun. Especially when he's being a douche.) And the tag was one of the most hilarious things ever. Especially the fact that that's happened before. I love GNB. Oh, and getting rid of Lily for 4 weeks was also hilarious. (But does that mean she won't be in anymore episodes this season? Or was it just for this episode for some reason? It'd be weird if Lily wasn't even in the finale.) Man, I really loved everything about this episode. Like, I'm thrilled about the Barney/Robin development, but even outside of that, this episode rocked.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to be ridiculously obsessive over HIMYM for the rest of the season. Fair warning. I also really want to watch this episode again. And picspam it. Because I'm in a picspamming mood, if you hadn't noticed. So I might just do that.
In school-related news, I'm being inducted into Psi Chi tonight which I'm not really looking forward to. I mean, it's fine, but it's just like one more thing I have to do today and less time I have to do schoolwork and then less time to relax. I'm also no closer to figuring out my schedule for next semester, which is stressing me out. But I got my test and project from last Thursday back, and we got 100 on the project (this should help make up for the 68 we got on the first project, hopefully) and a 94 on the test (which is very good considering how much I failed at preparing for it).

I was quite surprised that Marshall knew as well.

Date: 2009-04-14 09:54 pm (UTC)Yeah, I mean, it makes sense that Lily told him, but I really didn't think he seemed like he knew at all.

Date: 2009-04-14 09:55 pm (UTC)Ah, ok, that makes sense then! Thanks for letting me know. I wanted to check it out, but I'm so afraid of getting spoiled that I didn't want to search for it. And I thought I did hear that she had filmed some scenes for the finale, so it didn't make sense that she wouldn't be in that episode.

Date: 2009-04-15 04:31 am (UTC)I laughed so hard during HIMYM! It was definitely one of the funniest eps this season!
And all the Barney/Marshall stuff was so sweet. If I were Marshall and Lily I'd probably be trying harder to get B&R together than making them sit next to each other though. If I were Lily I'd so want to hear Robin's thoughts on the subject.

Date: 2009-04-15 09:06 pm (UTC)It really was! I think it would be really cool to see scenes of Lily kind of nudging Robin towards Barney. Hopefully they'll do something with that. It seems kind of weird to me that if Lily thinks they're perfect for each other and knows about Barney's feelings that she wouldn't try harder to get them together.
