brokenrecordTwo more finals down! Just two papers and the take-home final left! And only 2 days until my parents arrive! :D
My Differential Equations final was... weird. That's really the only way to describe it. Before we started, he told us that there were 100 points for all the questions on the test, but if we wrote our names on our papers, he would add 10 points. So basically we started off with 10 extra credit points. Then, half-way through the final, he was like "Ok, I have donuts, and we're going to take a 5 minute break. You can't compare your papers, but you can ask each other if you are stuck on something and need help figuring it out." Then, when I finally finished, he was like "Here are the answers in case you want to check to see how you did." I... didn't do wonderfully? I don't know. I mean, I didn't look at every problem and I couldn't remember my exact answer for some. I made a few really idiotic mistakes, though. But I only needed an 80/100 to get an A in the class, and with the extra 10 points for writing our names, I could get up to 30 points off. And I definitely don't think I got that many off. So I should end up with an A in this class, but I'm not 100% sure yet.
My German final also did not go well. I don't know, I guess it was okay, but I kind of wanted to feel really confident about it considering that my lab grade will probably bring down my overall grade. On the plus side, the people I was talking to about it after we were done also had a lot of problems with it, and she tends to grade on a curve (like, she doesn't curve the grades out of a certain number, she just assigns letter grades, but if a lot of people miss a lot of questions in one section, than she'll give the section an A even if you miss a few), so who knows. I probably could have studied more for it, but I don't know how much that would have helped.
Right now I'm stuck between being happy and relieved that I'm slightly closer to the semester being over and being ridiculously stressed out because I still have a final and two papers. I'm supposed to work on the stats paper with Li at 6, so I have to decide now whether I should relax until then or start the stats take-home final. I mean, I know what I should do, but relaxing is just so much more appealing right now.
