This episode felt kind of filler-ish even though I guess some stuff happened. The build up from last week didn't seem to match what happened this week. Why was that meeting so important? Was it just because seeing her again ends up motivating Ted to find his "The One"? I really wanted it to be Stella (or even Tony would work) that introduced him to the mother, but I don't know at this point. Although there was that thing about how Tony managed to actually sell a screenplay or something, and future Ted said "But we'll get to that later," so maybe that's important? Or am I just trying to find things where there's nothing? I don't know. Anyways, because it felt kind of filler-ish to me, I don't have much to say other than a few random comments.

I loved Marshall high-fiving Barney about the What-Up Quake! I'm pretty sure I mention this everytime I talk about this show, but I LOVE MARSHALL AND BARNEY'S FRIENDSHIP. They are totally best friends and need to forget about Ted! (Ok, I like Ted, but still, they are awesome together.)

TONY! I very much enjoy Jason Jones, so I was happy that Stella's return also meant Tony's return. This also totally wasn't what I expected from Stella showing up at the end of the last episode, but I'm really happy they went this way.

"Challenge accept-- wait for it..." HA. It took me a second to get that, too, when he pointed at Ted. I always, always adore Barney accepting challenges when no one has challenged him to do anything. Also, "That is outrageous! And factual." I love Robin. Especially for "I am sorry, Stella, but I am going to have to ask you to bump this!" THIS IS WHY SHE AND BARNEY ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.

I loved that little bit with Barney in the car talking about Claudette and how she was the best girl Ted ever dated and all that. He's such an awesome bro.

Also, yay Lily!

I wish something had happened between Barney and Robin tonight, even something small. I guess everything's being saved up for the finale? That's next week, right? blah. I'm nervous about what's going to happen. Hopefully it'll be awesome.

Moved all my stuff out of my dorm today. It actually went way faster and smoother than I thought it would. I'm really happy that's all done. Now I can just kind of relax and let my brain take a break for a week. Once I get back home, I get to start stressing out about getting a job or whatever, but for now I can relax for a little while.

It did feel a lot like filler, but I guess after the stellar season this show has had, an episode like this was bound to happen. It was enjoyable, I was hoping we'd get some more buildup to whatever is going to happen with Barney/Robin, but I actually thought that the Tony/Stella stuff was kind of interesting and it forced Ted to confront his own immaturity and shortcomings and admit that he wanted to find "the one". It's amazing that it's taken him several seasons to come full circle to where he was in the pilot, but it was also a nice wrap up of his relationship with Stella. I seriously cannot wait for next Monday, I have a feeling this episode is going to be epic, although I've yet to read a single spoiler about what's going to happen. I'm just going on a gut feeling lol.

Yeah, that's true. And it's not like I didn't totally enjoy it; I guess I was just expecting more for the second to last episode of the season. I did like the Tony/Stella stuff, though.

I'm the same way. I have read absolutely no spoilers (and am actually terrified of getting spoiled for it), but I feel like something huge is going to go down. I really can't wait.

I feel like we haven't seen the last of Tony/Stella. The whole point of last week was to show that he wouldn't have met 'the mother' without running into them so I'm sure they'll be back in some capacity.

MARSHALL/BARNEY HAVE THE MOST EPIC BROMANCE!

I loved when Robin actually said she'd be waiting for Ted's fist bump. lol that's so Barney.

I hope that's true. I'm sure they wouldn't go through last week's episode of showing how important it was that he meet Stella (and Tony, it turns out) there and then just drop it the next episode. I guess I just expected more explanation of that this episode.

THEY DO. I'm so ridiculously happy they've seemed to have more time together this season. Marshall and Barney need to work together forever and also just hang out away from Ted a bunch.

I know! That was totally my thought! It could have easily been Barney saying that line and it would seem perfectly in character.
