Oh Monday night TV, I have missed you so much. The only way you could be better if Chuck was starting now and had a full season and was not being left until after the Winter Olympics. (SERIOUSLY COME ON, MARCH IS SO FAR AWAY!)

Thoughts as I was watching the episode:

1. ALKSJDF THE FIST BUMPS. I did see the preview of them making out on the couch, so I knew that they hadn't actually decided just to be friends, and so I wasn't freaking out about it. But even already knowing that, they were REALLY obvious about it, so I don't know if I would've believed them even without seeing the promos. Robin happens to be dating this guy, and Barney has to leave to go see some girl at the same time? Subtle, guys. The fact that they managed to keep it from Ted, Marshall, and Lily all summer is ridiculous.

2. L;KAJSDF THEY FREAK OUT OVER BEING CALLED A COUPLE. OH MAN I LOVE THEM!!! I'm pretty sure I read a fic like this, where they were like "We need to figure this out" and then instead they just kept making out and having sex. (It was an awesome fic and one of my favorite B/R fics I've read, so this isn't a criticism!) Anyways, THEY ARE SO PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.

3. I APPROVE OF THEM MAKING OUT PRETTY MUCH CONSTANTLY IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES OF THE EPISODE. I think I need to rewatch this episode like a million times.

4. "If you're a professor, where are your hat and your whip?" HEE.

5. I LOVE LILY AND BARNEY'S FRIENDSHIP. She wants him to be happy and their relationship to work out! They do kind of owe what they have to her, at least in part.

6. BARNEY'S GOING TO GET SO JEALOUS YES. AND ALSO, BRAD. AND ALSO BARNEY PUNCHED BRAD DESPITE HIS TOTAL FEAR OF FIGHTS AND ALL THAT STUFF.

7. BARNEY/ROBIN AFTERSEX TALK! THEY'RE LIKE A COUPLE AND EVERYTHING. (Also, NPH being shirtless as often as possible is excellent.)

8. "Morning. 'Sup dudes. SILENCE." Heeee. Oh man, I love when Ted is being made fun of (I mean, I do really like Ted, but him being made fun of is always hilarious). The entire sequence of students trying to tell Ted that it's not an architecture class was brilliant.

9. l;ajsdf THEY'RE SO INEPT IN RELATIONSHIPS I LOVE IT. YES THEY'RE GOING TO PRETEND TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP TO EVERYONE ELSE I LOVE THEM. Oh man, they're totally going to be enjoying the relatioship-y stuff even if they pretend to each other that they're not in a relationship. THEY'RE HOLDING HAAAAANDS OMG THIS IS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED IN THIS RELATIONSHIP YES. I think I have to watch this episode again.

...ok, that was pretty much just me flailing about Barney and Robin making out, having sex, and being awesome together. But this is seriously exactly what I wanted in a relationship between the two of them! As much as they love each other, they both have failed in relationships in the path and don't want marriage or kids or any of that, so obviously the resolution to last season's finale isn't going to be "Barney and Robin fall into a serious relationship and they both know they're in a relationship and they call each other sweetie and snookums and whatever other petnames and Barney proposes and they get married and Robin pops out 2 kids, a boy and a girl, and they're perfect and happy the end." I'm SO looking forward to all the ways they can get comedy out of how much the two of them fail at relationships. And also to lots of them making out (which the premiere definitely delivered on!).

Thoughts while watching:

1. LOL at how little facial hair Sheldon grew.

2. Awwwww Sheldon, you would adore an Arctic expedition so much more than any of the others because you are far more awesome then the rest of them.

3. Ok, so I'm of two minds of the Leonard/Penny stuff. Mostly BLAH BORING DON'T ENJOY. But the logical side of me is like... this is fine, they can get the relationship out of the way now and then move onto Sheldon/Penny in the future! Or at least that's what I choose to believe.

4. !!!!! SHELDON MAKING THE :D FACE OMG I LOVE YOU.

5. FAIL LEONARD, HOWARD, AND RAJ. YOU ARE BAD SCIENTISTS. I'M ACTUALLY KIND OF APPALLED AT THEM.

6. Leonard and Penny kissing is really, really not sexy.

7. YES PENNY YOU KNOW YOU'D RATHER OPEN THE DOOR FOR SHELDON RATHER THAN MAKE OUT WITH LEONARD.

8. SHELDON'S LEARNED SARCASM! SEE HE CAN GROW AND CHANGE AND BECOME OPEN TO BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE PERHAPS.

9. ;LAKJSDFLKJ "THAT POOR THING" OMG SEE PENNY REALLY CARES ABOUT SHELDON SO MUCH MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE. And I love that when faced between comforting Sheldon and making out with the guy she's supposedly missed all summer, she goes for Sheldon. I'm sorry, why am I supposed to want Leonard and Penny together again? Because of how into each other they are? Because that's really not coming through.

10. L;ADFJS OMG SHELDONG CURLED UP ON THAT BED MADE MY HEART HURT. A;LKJSDFL;KJ PENNY IS SINGING SOFT KITTY OMG SHE KNOWS HIM SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. "SAD IS NOT SICK." HEE. AND HE LETS PENNY INTO HIS ROOM!

11. PENNY KNOWS ABOUT STAR TREK! SEE, PENNY IS GROWING TOO.

12. "Well, I feel bad for the guy." THIS IS WHY RAJ IS MY FAVORITE AFTER SHELDON AND PENNY.

13. OMG LEONARD IS SUCH A HORRIBLE FRIEND GEEZ. "Sheldon, my best friend, is running away. Oh well." ugh. WHY AM I SUPPOSED TO LIKE LEONARD? I mean, this isn't even Sheldon being an ass and deserving this treatment; this is ENTIRELY their fault. AND they were bad scientists (I find this really offensive, ok!).

14. omg Sheldon sounds so broken when he's home. He's so quiet and sad. :(

15. HA LEONARD AND PENNY FAIL AT BEING TOGETHER. Also, them finally sleeping together was really anti-climactic. Just saying. I mean, if TPTB at TBBT really want Leonard/Penny to happen, they fail majorly at giving any reasons for why we should be interested or invested or for why these two characters are even interested in each other. But that's just my opinion, anyways.

16. I heart Jim Parsons ridiculous amounts. That always needs to be said.

Basically, the episode was better than I was expecting based on what I was spoiled for (...pretty much just Leonard/Penny kissing several times and suddenly being together). Although I didn't know about the guys faking results and ruining Sheldon's reputation, which really irritated me. They didn't even seem remotely sorry about it, except Raj a little. However, the Sheldon/Penny scene in his room was absolutely fantastic and totally made the episode for me. Not even just in a shippy sense, but because HEY LOOK SOMEONE ACTUALLY CARING ABOUT SHELDON. geez, I expect that kind of treatment from Howard and Raj since they mostly put up with Sheldon because of Leonard, but Leonard is supposed to be Sheldon's best friend. The fact that faking the results was actually Leonard's idea really makes me dislike him. And I'm usually pretty neutral about him, but how mean he can be to Sheldon really brings my opinion of him down.

...I actually did enjoy most of the episode! And I'm looking forward to the rest of the season hopefully totally breaking apart Leonard and Penny and showing all the reasons why they are absolutely horrible for each other. I just hope the writers get on board with that. ALL the positive critical attention they've gotten for the show has been because of Jim Parsons and Sheldon/Penny, so they really should.

I don't really have much to say, but that episode of House was pretty fascinating. I'm kind of impressed with the writers for mixing things up every once and awhile so it isn't always completely formulaic. I mean, on most shows, if the season finale ended with several characters quitting, the premiere would have them coming back, you know? The show takes risks like that and like this, and sometimes they don't work out totally, but they take them anyways. I'm just really fascinated for this season. It was really weird not to have a medical mystery of the week or any of the other characters except 5 seconds of Wilson.

Honestly, the premiere of GG was kind of boring, but I love the way they're handling Blair/Chuck (that last scene between them was so sweet!), and I oddly really, really love Carter and Serena/Carter. I don't know why! It's probably entirely because of Sebastian Stan.

I also enjoyed Chuck and Serena interacting in this episode since they didn't have any scenes together at all in the premiere. I like their weird sibling relationship. Also, I enjoy scenes between Dan and Serena a million times more when they're not dating. I liked that he let her stay over and didn't lecture her about not going to Brown, which I feel like he would have last season when they were dating. Also, Dan and Blair. I would never, ever want them to date, but their scenes are amusing. "Dan's a writer?" was one of the most hilarious lines of the episode.

Are they setting up for Dan/Georgina? I could be up for that. Especially if Georgina continues to pretend to be nicer than she really is.

I think they're handling the transition from high school to college well. I like that Blair's parties are weird and Dan is respected for getting published because, at least a my school, that would more be the attitude.

All I have to say about the last episode of Mad Men is OMG PEGGY FAINTED AND PETE CAUGHT HER AND THEN THERE WAS AN AWKWARD LOOK BETWEEN THEM OMG. (l;akjdf yes I'm still shipping them ridiculously. I know I need to stop, but I can't!)

...ok, one more thing: "They say he may never golf again" was one of the most hilarious lines of the show ever. I have no idea why, but I found that so incredibly hilarious. Really, everything revolving around the lawnmower incident was gold.

Also, FULL SEASON ORDER FOR GLEE! YAY! I wasn't too worried because it's actually doing ridiculously well in the ratings (I have no idea how that's happening, because it seems like it's totally the type of show that would be amazing and be critically loved, but no one would actually watch. Like Wonderfalls or Pushing Daisies or like the million other shows I've watched that have been canceled).
